update trouble! (UK)

still having trouble with the update tried it 3 times now and an error occurs after 55-60%. 2 player works but GTTV and Online play doesn't.

anyone else having this problem?

It takes a few attempts, i got it after about 4, just keep trying and it will be fine

I took me about a dozen times to finish it. This morning I decided to stay looking into the screen till I see when it failed, and it finished.

It tried it both normally, and after opening ports on my router, and even after portforwarding it failed, so it nothing to do with that, or internet connection, it is just too many people trying to download it at the same time.

I had the same problem twice, turned the clock on the XMB to "internet" and it went straight in, maybe coincidence?

Yeah, I had that problem last night. Found a cure by accident. After 3 or 4 failures I went to the news area to read that then exited the game (via the PS button). When I restarted the download continued from where it left off, now all ok.

Took me 4 attempts for it to work. Great thing about the UK version is that the resume function works with it.

Has anyone else had the problem, that after finally being able to download the update that GT simply won't load again. I'm now sitting looking at a perpetually black screen, even the PS button doesn't do anything, and turning off the PS is odd, too many bleeps sound.

If anyone else has had this problem please let me know how they got around it. I had to install the update via my wired connection as going wireless just bombed out too many times, now I'm nervous some other issue is plaguing me

Uninstall the update and try again! To uninstall it go to the games icon on the XMB (Cross Media Bar) and then keep going up till you get to a folder called "Games" and delete anything in there related to GT5: Prologue!

Seems like something went wrong with the installation, when you do that you will have to download the update again and start from scratch, but it should fix your problem!
