It used to wind me up that my credit card company would call me to confirm any purchase I made on PS4, now I'm glad they do.

Even though this ban appears not to be hacking, there is certainly enough prompt to go and switch 2 step verification on.

My PS4 account got hacked a while back, some unsavoury gained access and used my account to buy FIFA points. I don't even have FIFA!

So now I don't store any payment method on Playstation/Sony. If I want anything, I just add the card details at point of purchase, pay, then delete card details. I have also set up 2-step verification.
