Updating during endurance race

I am about 15 hours into the nurburgring 24 hour race, on 2.15. Would updating cause any issues? such as ending the race? Or should I wait to update until I finish?

I think it dose end the race so I wouldn't update just incase finish the race first and get you're prize car and then update.

It doesn't.
I had an update whilst I was doing Suzuka 1000km and I was able to continue the race.
Of course, said update changed the tyre wear...which nearly screwed me out of a win.
