Updating while in a mid-race save?

Hey guys,

I used the search function but couldn't find an answer to this. Also tried posting in a mid-race save thread but haven't got an answer (yet), so i decided to dedicate a thread to this. If i have overlooked a similar thread then by all means merge or delete this one!

So my question is, i'm in the middle of the 24hr Le Mans endurance race and now the 2.01 update came out. I'm wondering if i can do the update without losing my mid-race save or that i have to complete the race offline before doing the update first. Also if it turns out i can do the update without losing my save, will it affect the bonus system in any way? Can anyone please clear this up for me?

not completely conclusive but looks like the patch doesn't affect your save.

I did this yesterday, it had no effect on my saved 24 hr enduro

I should add, I still haven't finished the race, so I don't know if it will effect the rewards bonus

Alright...thanks for the answers, i'm gonna do the update and cross my fingers that i'll still get the 200% bonus! 👍
