Upgrade Mobile Phone.

Its come that time for me to upgrade my mobile phone. I have a android device at the moment. And do not know if I should switch to iPhone. I have the HTC desire. Any help. Honest advice here.

I love my android phone. Personally there are so many advantages to android for me that I'd never go to iphone. Iphone runs a lot smoother and cleaner though but a lot of the apps and functions you get for free on android you'll pay for on iphone.

Well, your carrier would be helpful. At least if you are in the US.

Personally, I prefer the Android hand sets, and with IceCream Sandwich on its way, I'd say waiting just a bit might not be a bad idea.

As for the iPhone - it runs very smoothly and I've yet to see something really compete for the battery life. The battery alone is enough for some people to use it.

I do largely agree here too. I'd wait a bit if you can and see how the ice cream sandwich update pans out. A lot of companies are promising updates to it but a lot of companies did with gingerbread too and it never happened.

My girlfriend has her update in February and my recommendations for her are one of three phones:

Galaxy Nexus
Galaxy S II
Razr

All are supposed to be getting ICS and all are top notch phones. Although there isn't a ton of reviews on the Galaxy Nexus is a Google phone sponsored phone and there flagship product so it's hard to go against.

My mom and sister got the Optimus 3d and they love it. They also didn't get the choice of the S2. Don't be fooled by the 3D stuff, it's a nice feature to show off the phone but pretty much useless otherwise. If your getting that one then get it for the other stuff not that.

Ice Cream Sandwich is the newest update coming with the Galaxy Nexus Google phone this coming week. Other phones will get it after but when nobody knows. The Optimus 3d and the S2 are both supposed to be getting it as well sometime early next year.

The big thing is I'm on android and changing now means I would have to pay for all my apps again. But the iPhone does look a nice bit of kit. I gonna have the my next phone for 2 years, its gotta be something special.

I absolutely love my iPhone 4S and I'd recommend you go check out it but I'm no fanboy either. My advice is to wait until Ice Cream Sandwich is out in the wild (no comment on the name) and see what it's like. Go try one out at the store for your carrier of choice.

That does make quite a bit more sense.

My biggest issue with the iPhone is the small screen. After using my EVO for the past year+, I have to say I quite like the 4.3" screen size. But I also have huge giant hands.

Plus if you go the S II route you get the Super AMOLED screen which is absolutely amazing.
