I am doing a GT/Auto mag for creative writing class, do you think you guys could help me convert all of the terms in GT Auto and the Tuning Shop to real world-ish terms? Any help would be appreciated.

You might get a better response if you posted a list of the specific terms you want to change and an example to show us exactly what you're talking about.
Well, the thing is, is I need all of them. except the tires. An example would be like this:
Comfort Soft Tires- Typical tires that don't carry much grip. you would normally find these tires on a Toyota Yaris or Volkswagen Golf

Those would be like a common all season radial tire with no performance rating.
The SH and SM tires are more equivelant to performance rated sports tires and the SS tires are like street/track semi slick tires.
