I just bought a PlayStation 4 Pro today. Before making the transition, I made sure that all saves were in the cloud. GT Sport was fairly large, around 300mb if I remember correctly.

I downloaded the data from the cloud after setting up my new PS4 Pro, and everything seemed to be in order, except my library is empty! My liveries are still there, both car liveries and suit/helmets, but I had countless shots from Scapes and Race Photo Mode, along with a bunch of replays I care about, including hotlaps, daily races and league races from the league I run, and it's all gone! :(

I still haven't wipe the old PlayStation so I have it on there still, but is there seriously no way to have my library carried over to my new PS4?

Any info would be greatly apprecieted, as I have tons of content in my library :(

Understand that pics and replays are literal gigabytes of information. It wouldn't make sense nor would it be even feasible to include those in the server side save file or in the PS cloud. Those items are stored locally on the PS4 only.

You'll either have to export them to USB or "Share" them ingame on one device and download them on the other.

@senzr
I'm doing the "Transfer data from another PS4" process now, that should bring everything from my old one .. I hope :)

Just remember to back up your GTS save file to the PS+ Cloud, just in case, so you won’t lose your cars.

Yeah already did that :) Transfer finished overnight and everything is in order now :)

Thanks for the help guys

To set up your Pro, you can use the method where you connect the old PS4 to the Pro via Ethernet cable, then transfer everything over the cable. That’s what I did when I got my Pro, and everything was transferred over, exactly like it used to be.

Wait... if you buy a PS4 pro, you can transfer all your data over using a cable? I didn't know that was a possibility. That really makes me want a a pro now lol

Yup. Pretty convenient. Everything transfers over. Far easier than migrating to a new iPhone. Which I might need to do soon lol

Enjoy your 60fps replays and improved PSVR graphics. And obviously, 4K + HDR, if you’ve got the TV. (I just did it for PSVR.)

@Guffaluff please report back your thoughts on the difference in video quality and if you felt the upgrade was worth it. Still on the fence for a Pro as I would need to buy the Pro and a 4K monitor, so it would be an expensive upgrade and I haven’t seen GT Sport in 4K yet to know if it’s worth the investment.

Thanks!

It's quite handy :). Although, I did have some trouble at first. It is supposed to be enough to have both PS4's connected via LAN cable to the same router, but in my case, the PS Pro didn't find the old one. After quite a few tries, different cables and so forth, I had to connect both PS4's with WiFi, and then connect a LAN cable directly between the two consoles. Then they could communicate with each other and it basicly copies the old one to the new. All users, game data, even my wallpaper remains unchanged. Took in total around 7-8 hours, just let it run overnight :)

Thanks! :). Don't have VR (yet), but I'll enjoy 4K for sure :)

Well, so far I haven´t had much screentime, the transfer finished while I slept and then I had to run to work. Fired the game up really quick, and at first glance I definitely see a big difference. So much sharper! :)

I recently upgraded my TV to a 65" SUHD Lg (SJ850 series) and on that size of a screen, it's easy to notice. On smaller screens it might not be as noticable.

I've been looking for an excuse to upgrade to Pro, and I had the opportunity to buy one through work for a bargain price. I can sell my old one and almost break even :D.

I'll give you further impressions after more screentime with the Pro :)

I had this when I uninstalled the game and re bought it cheap a few months later. Lost replays and pictures I hadn't shared.

Thing is the replays and pictures have a strict space limit, which made me believe it was because they were stored server side. If they are on our HDD, why the limit?

Spent too long on it this week. All my game progress is there, so I'm happy with that. Don't really need replays, etc. Can get liveries back, what matters.
