Upgrading Cars in Japanese Version

hey i have the japanese version but i dont understand the menus, where can you upgrade your cars? like add turbos and change wheels? thanks

You can't upgrade your own cars in GT5, but there are a selection of pre-tuned cars you can buy from the Concept by GT showroom on the far right of the dealership menu.

You can't customize your own cars, but like above, you can buy ready tuned cars. The Quick Tune Feature is unlocked once you've completed the classes, and you can change tyre type, brake ratio, et.

so if u buy the M3 u cant upgrade the engine and transmission like in GT4??

I can't exactly remember what you can tune because my TV is sitting on the floor, but I can remember you can change tyre type, weight, gear ratio, et. I don't think you can change the engine though.

There's a number of points you've got to take into consideration. In S class you can only use tuned cars with a limited amount of points. For example, if 10 points was the limit (which wouldn't happen) and I took some weight off the car, I would get more points and could end up going over the limit, so I'd have to make some changes.

in what option can you use Quick Tune? i went to the garage and couldnt find it? also can you quick tune cars to race online or only in single player

If you haven't completed the classes, you can't use it. It can be used in single player and online.

i HAVE completed all classes but i still dont know where it is, plus its in japanese so i cant find it

Ok, go online, or do a Time Trial, scroll along the bottom until you find Quick Tune.

Where Start is, just scroll along and you should find it. My TV is fixed, so I can post the features in Quick Tune if you like.

oh cool thanks! i only race on the daytona track at the top of the list but howcome it doesnt let me access the quick tune for that level? if i go to the lower races on the bottom quick tune isnt grayed out. in the top beginner levels why cant you access quick tune? also if u quick tune your car in the lower levels and then go to daytona on the top will your car be "tuned" even though the option for that level is grayed out? the wrench icon is gray in the top of the online servers for high speed ring and daytona

You can use it in arcade mode, S class and online, you can't use it in C, B or A class races.

but not in the Arcade Time Trial.

ok when u click online in the japanese version u see the top of the list there is the daytona track about 5 servers down , i enter in with the ford GT and go to do quick tune but it is GRAYED out. why is that? if i go to the servers near the bottom of the list the quick tunes is NOT grayed out. why for the daytona track on the top of the server list u cannot quick tune your cars???

The top list of events are beginner events and don't allow tuning. Intermediate events are next and they allow tuning.
