Although I've not actually tried that model, I do have an AVer HD capture card so I'm going to assume its at least as good as that, given the price range and advertised features. I've always been happy with mine although the quality is clearly below that of something like a Haupage PVR. That said, AVer are only about half the price of a Haupage so its a good compromise from my point of view. You can see some example of videos produced from it if you have a look at my YouTube channel (link in my signature) - all the HD videos there are recorded with my AVer card and then re-compressed using a seperate video editing software. The lower quality ones I used lower settings for speed but very high quality is possible up to 1080i. The one you've mentioned is 1080p so the quality should be better. The reviews on Amazon look promising and most places will give you a 30 day cooling off period anyway so its probably worth a try for that money.
