Last Weeks Race Write Up
Race #2 has just been finished. YIN takes his second victory in a row. YIN blew everyone away in qualifying but from 2nd on back qualifying was tight. The top 3 in the race were the only ones to break down into the high 18 min. for a race time. In the points williams continues to hold first by 20 points over Toyota. In the drivers championship YIN holds first by 16 points over racefan88501 who is closely followed by jump_ace and rmk700 who are tied for 3rd. jump_ace and rmk700 are only 2 points behind racefan88501. The points and the racing is close as we all head to the United States for the US GP.

Series updates
Red tarmac and other thing similar are ok to use also going off is ok as long as it does not make you lap faster
Rewards System will be (wieght first power will be the reverse if needed)
1st- +3%
2nd- +2%
3rd- +1%
14th- -1%
15th- -2%
16th- -3%

How to set up arcade mode
1. go to main screen in GT4
2 click options and look under arcade mode click on RACE
3. change laps to 17
4. make tire wear STRONG
5. make peanalty sped limiter
6. make time none

The car is the last one on the Japan list of cars

Qualification Rules
NO ASM
Any Tire(but like in F1 must DO the race on the same compound)(slected in quick tune)
Run as many laps as needed to get the time you feel is fastest.
Fastest lap must be a clean lap as well
May change top speed


Race Rules
NO ASM
Tires are the same compound you qualify on.
When you pit Must stay on the same compound
Run 17 laps
Run a clean race or your best attempt at it
may change top speed

Submission Rules
Submit to me your Qualification Time, Race Time, And Tire Choice
ALL IN THE SAME PM
Must Submit Times For This Round By Midnight EST on Oct. 2
Times will be posted on Oct. 4th (i will be on a short holiday)

Time protest rules

1. Send me a a PM at the completion of the race(the day after the deadline) and it must be berfore the completion of the next race weekend
2. in the pm state some sort of reason why the time should be protested
3. upon me reviewing the protest i shall ask the competior in question to submit a demo
4. i will review the demo
5.
A. the lap(or race is ligit) in wich case nothing will happen
B. the race(or lap) is not legit in which case the penalty will be severe it will include(but is not limited to) a -10 point peanalty and other peanalties i find nessacary
6. if someone makes an honest typo or ther mistake and lets me know before complation of the next race this will be considered a mistake and i will fix the error

alright Midland/Skoda is on the board! The scuttle-butt around the paddock is that Midland doesn't have enough money to hold on to their sensational new driver AngelCreator....But the rumor of a power struggle among the team mates is totally without merit!

Guess i'll be the first to post splits this time :) After about 20 minutes practice, this is the best I have so far.

i gave it a try lastnight,laguna seca is plenty fun track to drive,the car is so stable even without tcs,the f1 car is really a great match with this track,i think everyone should have fun this week:)
 
^Yin I hope you are right because the last few tracks have given me trouble.

It seems that all the tracks here are tracks that I cant race or havent raced.
 
Oh joy, another wonderful race using the nightmare called..... Arcade Mode.:banghead: :rolleyes: Go ahead and tell me..."Alright, your tired hearing about it.":)
 
I will give this a try tomorrow, I just hope I do better this time around:(.
 
With the tight turns I found tcs is better especially the 'screw. Initial splits and I'll go back and trim more time if anyone besides YIN passes me :sly:

Improved my lap by a couple tenths, didnt check my splits. I also gave Traction Control a try, I crashed a hell of a lot less using it, but just couldnt match my non TCS times with it, I used to use TCS all the time but I guess I lost the touch for it lol, but it shows that people who say that people who use TCS are lesser drivers than people who dont are rubish as there obviously is a skill to using TCS which I dont seem to have.
 
i feel plenty sad,being heavy is really a disadvantage:nervous:

i think i have some dumb problem with my ps2 or my save card,i can't save or load my grost replay,i saved 1 time they show 1.03.***,but it play my 1.04.*** replay,i can save or load my replay at the other track,but i can't save or load my replay only at laguna-seca,have anybody have the same problem as me???:nervous:
 
Pretty even splits so far guys, cool beans! As far as the repalys YIN, I too have some difficulty if I get a good lap, dont save it and start another sometimes it overwrites the faster lap and I am stuck with the lap I just did :( So everytime I get a fast lap I stop and save it. Also if you do one lap at lets say 1:10 then another faster at 1:09 and you do them back to back sometimes it will save both laps as one file, its still perfectly legal to submit, just a read pain when trying to view it, lol. That has been my experience tho and I may be doing something wrong but no matter.

I got the qualifier done today, I tried the race but it's hard for me to keep
it clean for 20 laps, also i'm not using TCS as I don't go any lower then 4th gear.

you only have to do 17 lap
i'm also not using tcs :)
 
Oh, I guess I didn't read to well did I? But now I don't have the pit 2 times.
 
How many pit stops is everyone making? I might have to see if I get a chance to actually practice and submitt more times to racefan. I'm not sure if I'll be back in time though.
 
I was trying to push out 9 laps and cruise out the second half, but the most I felt safe with was 7, so I just went with 6 & 12. I'm going to try and see if I can't give it another go this weekend. We'll see. Not like I'll have any chance of really improving much, but I think I can get closer to these guys than I am. But if I somehow need to post some sort of proof for anything, all I can do is use my digital cam to take pics of my TV. Then again, I really don't expect to improve that much.

yes,but i feel like i'm almost at the limit.
i have NEVER as fast as rmk700 or jump_ace at t1,my best so far is 15.7-8,but i usually clock 15.9-16,but i'm always satisfied,i think my biggest problem is t1:)

Im happy with these splits but im also disapointed because with the ghost I was chaseing when I set this time, I was 4 tenths up on the ghost at T2 but only .05x ahead at T3, I messed up at the corckskrew, broke a tad early and got my line wrong, but absolutely nailed the final 2 corners perfect.

Sorry, I will have to pull out of this series, I just can't find the time wtih everything else I need to do.
 
Well international jet-set playboy Daddy-O made an appearanec in Monterrey, California today and set some initial practice laps in his Midland-Skoda.

Rumor has it that he was running on a set of used Roadmaster Tires from Sears!

i don't think i can win pole at this tight track with the heavy car,i just hope i can finish top 3 this time at qua,but i will fight for the win at the race for sure:)
