Hey guys, just curious what the F1 cars are being used for. I haven't seen any online, not that i would expect to with a 700 pp (or less) race. Is it pretty much just for single player?

Do you think PD might make an online event series for F1 only at some point?

Can you get the F1 down to 700? I've just beaten the game and I was just wondering if it is worth the purchase? I believe the F1 to be the best car for 5 of 6 tracks. Any insight would be great!

The F1 costs 2,000,000 Credits, and that is all that you can accumulate before spending some of it. I've got 40 Gold Cups, and I've had the F1 since last night. I have been using it to earn credits in some of the A Races, particularly at Fuji and Suzuka. These are three lap races with First Place Credits = 20,000, and I've managed to lap the stragglers in the field at Fuji.

I am using the DFP, and the one problem that I have with the F1 is that the wheel chatters like crazy on straight sections of road. There are only a few things you can tune on this car, but I have not managed to quiet down the vicious wheel shake.

Does anyone have any tips on this, or is that the way the car is supposed to handle?

go into options and turn down the force feedback. i know i had it turned up to 10 (max) but when i got the F1 and took it out on fuki at the end of the straight my arms were so tired from trying to keep the thing from going balistic. i turned it down to 5 and now the shake is much more managable

Man I found it extremly hard to beat S Class at Fuji and Suzuka, the car I found that did the best at those tracks was the S2000 GT1 Turbo. But boy you have to hit your marks. I love the F1 and I have the F1 2006 Champ game for ps3, so I think I will spend the hours to buy it. I have a controller, so its much more difficult to control the cars. I am surprised I was about to beat the game with a controller.

As for the chatter on the straight, I notice that even with the Ford GT. I think its normal, but it does raise questions about the physics of the game.

Haha, where have you been the past 3 years??? Same problem in GT4 too, but may be the deadzone of the DFP. I have a G25 and when I get the F1 car I'll see how she handles.

Well, I had already set mine to 4, and although somewhat better, this car still wobbles left/right on straights....I really have to hold on tight to the steering wheel. The next time that I play this game, I'll turn it down to 1 in order to see if that is any better.

The odd thing is that I've seen many posts from folk raving about the F1, and it is an awesome car, but I have never noticed where anyone mentioned this drastic chatter. I wonder if they accept it as normal, or if they don't actually experience the same thing that I am feeling????

I played GT4 to the extreme, with this same DFP, but I don't remember having this kind of problem with any car in GT4, particularly the F1s. Maybe my DFP is wearing out?

I have the same thing with the F1, so I believe it to be pretty normal. Takes a bit of effort to stop the shake eh? :sly:
(I've also had a DFP since GT4, and got similar effects with the Toyota GT One on the straight on the Nurburgring. Have had FFB set at 7).
I have turned it down to 1, and stops it somewhat, but it's annoying to keep changing it up and down when i want to drive other cars, so I just leave it at around 5.

thx for the info fellas (not sure what the sigh was for :indiff:)

was just curious if there was any events for it once you buy it or something... having fun racing online so im gonna hold off for a while, spend the money on the other cars first :sly:

To my knowledge there are no event that have this car. Which is why I asked the question can it been tuned down to 700 or 680? lol

1.2 million almost there!

In GT4 the wheel rattled too on the straights on fast cars, also on PD F1 back then. It's maybe not really simulating an excisting behaviour there but it's supposed to be that way.

Sorry, but the sigh is for the fact you didn't use the search button although it should be a rule you should obey (for the fact we otherwise get too many the same threads), and for the fact it's pretty coincidential that alot of this threads like yours have just been made and read through, like hours ago.

Just to let you know, if you have an idea or an opinion or a question wich you want to turn into a thread, always look for an already existing thread.

Hi, I recently saved up 2million to buy the F1 car but when i go to purchase it, it says this car cannot be purchased yet. I have got at least bronze in A,B and C class events but not yet S class, do i have to complete S class first?

My 2 friends have purchased the F1 car before they have even completed A class, does anyone know how i can get it, i really want this car lol.

Thanks NOS4SPEED
