using both a wheel and a controller at the same time

I was playing the game with my G27. After a few races I wanted to enter photo mode to take pictures but then when i tried to use my controller to "walk" around the scene it didnt respond tried pressing all the other buttons on my controller as well. The only button that works is the PS button. Do i have to enable the controller to work somehow while the wheel is plugged in?
 
Very simple solution.

When you have USB wheel plugged into PS3 USB, console determines it as "Controller 01" input.

Your default controller (either Sixaxis, Dual SHock 3 or Dual Shock 2 - if connected to PS3 through another USB port via PS2/PS3 controller-adapter) will be assigned as "Controller 02".

Press-hold the PSHome button to bring out black function screen (not XMB screen) where you can assign controller to imputs from 01-04.

Assign the controller to 01 and you're done.

You will comfortably use both controller and wheel in all in-game menus including PhotoMode - game allows their flawless parallel-usage.
 
Make sure your controller is assigned as number 1. Mine works fine like that with my G25 as 2.
