using paddles for the g25????

how do i get the paddles to work on my g25 with gt5p. i can't get anything to work except the h pattern shifter. i don't want to use it with cars that don't use a clutch like the gtr. the game makes me use the h pattern but the car isn't a standard so i want to use the paddle shifters.
