I've been running A-spec enduros, and I'm starting to feel like a pair of gloves would actually be beneficial to me. Is anyone else considering this, or maybe even already using gloves? If so, any cheap-ish recommendations?

Back in the day on the old xbox, I played the crap out of a Nascar game and I had a wheel for it. I had to use old golf gloves because my hands would start to feel weird after a long time on the wheel. When I get a wheel for gt5, I'll probably do the same thing lol.

I do not use gloves when I play with the steering wheel.

But I understand your thought. I have two pair of racing shoes. That I always use when I drive whit my G27 weel. One red pair:p and one blue pair:odd:

I have mounted the G27 on this chair http://www.playseat.com/en/logitech-G27-review . And when the pedals tilted in that angle they are slippery with only socks on. And I get a better feeling with the pedals with shoes on

I use gloves, it helps a lot with the long sessions. I use gym gloves, the padded ones without the finger tips.

I'm going to be getting my gloves/boots for karting IRL within the next month.
Te gloves alone cost $150! WTF!!!!
I don't even want to know how much the suit is going to cost.
I'll have to try them out with my G27, I'll have to post how they work out. :D

I live in Norway, and here it is winter. Then you have to wear pair of wool socks, for not freeze on the feet. And pair of wool socks are slippery, so if I do not have shoes on my feet, they will slip off the pedals:rolleyes:

Found my hands were sweating hanging onto the DFGT so i thought why not use my racing gloves. Also use a pair to leather driving gloves as well.

PS to gogatrs. I compete in the odd tarmac rally in my daily driver :) Spent over $1800 kitting myself out: Arai helmet, double layer racing suit, gloves, driving boots and all the undergarments too ;)

Shift brand racing gloves and shoes!:dopey:

Not a big investment but I like the way they feel.👍

I already owned them from my kart racing days.:)

I have a complete Ferrari F1 pro driver suit, with gloves, shoes and even radio comm. Took ages to wear properly, but at least I'm completely involved in the racing experience...

Oh, damn. I still don't have the wheel. Ack...

That's a good point, I didn't think to mention shoes. I have a playseat evolution and g25, but have no problems in socks. However I notice I arch my foot differently if I'm driving without shoes, so I've started wearing them for the longer sessions. Shoes also help with heel-toe shifting if I'm using the clutch. I had problems with my normal shoes being too bulky, but a pair of converse all stars works great for me.

Racing gloves, why not? If it increases someone´s experience, then goget it. I rather have a problem with my left foot from clutching. Feeling something that doesn´t belong there. Maybe racing shoes would be a concern. But being low on budget, putting on another pair of socks (or thicker ones) might help a bit...

Mountain biking gloves would be another option for cheapish gloves...very comfortable, tight fitting, a little padding & finger tip grippy pads for flappy paddle gear changes.

I don't use gloves.
on the DFGT you have a comfortable rubber strip.
so I don't really need them.
