I have seen bits of a video with a Datsun 240Z with a Chevy V8 in it but I can't find a copy of it. Does anyone know the video I am talking about and where I can find it?

Thanks

Try kazaa I've downloaded it from there. Its a black 240Z with an LT1 right? I used to have the videos but got rid of em.

I'm pretty sure that's it. I can't use Kazaa, I'm on parents computer and they don't want it on there but when my computers back up and running I'll have a look. All the same, if anyone here has it or knows where to get it I would be thankful.

Yep, that's a great video and a great Z. At first I thought it had a turbo on it, but then I found out that it was a supercharger.

That's a disgrace to the Nissan franchise. A better use of the money used on that engine, would have been purchasing an RB20DET or larger. Atleast, it would be faster and better centered in the vehicle.

That may be true, but its still damn cool that it beat a Yamaha R1. :D And it will lay lots rubber up till 4th gear.

Maybe Darius wanted the grunt of a V8 in something which doesn't weigh as much as the moon. Personal taste means something and you cannot deny that even though that isn't a Nissan engine it sounds bloody nice and goes like stink.

I don't deny it's overall speed, and design. I give the person credit for putting it together, because it requires serious mechanical talent to mount a V8 in a Datsun (from experience engine swaps are nothing but tough), but I would choose a better-suiting engine for that vehicle. If it were like a Javelin or something unique from the Domestic car culture, I would give the thumbs up for V8 swapping.

Yea I agree that putting something like a SR20 would probably be a better choice but as you say, good on the guy for managing to get a V8 in there.
