V8 car suddenly sounds like honda civic.

I had been racing my Cadillac CTS-V Coupe and it sounded like a v8 as it should, then all of a sudden after a few races it sounds like a 4 cylinder with a straight pipe. It sounds exactly like my type r civic i have in game. What happened?
 
This happened to me last night. I had the GT500 (15th Anniversary Edition) and at first there was no sound then when it came in it was a normal 4 cylinder rasp but the AI GT500 sounded fine when I was behind it.
