Ahh, unfortunately I'll miss R1 as I'm out doing UK Search and Rescue dog training...

Is this okay?

Awesome race GT. Couple of technical problems with Stig were unfortunate. Look forward to the next race. I hear rumor there may be a change which should aid some of the people who need to get off earlier?

First post is updated. Calendar now states laps (only done Suzuka) so 10 laps there (about 20 mins) should be much shorter than 20 at Interlagos (about 30 mins).

This helps people do Race 1 that may need to go early and helps others do both races.

This is where it gets more interesting too with championship weight to slow the top 3 :D (hahaha T5, haha, that's what you get for being so fast ;) )

Until I d/c'd you were just ahead of me, on soft's running a higher power setting.

I was on meds running leaner, so it would've been very close run between us.

GTPLANET INTERVIEW...

HELLO GT-WELSH

(Gtplanet question 1)
Firstly congratulations on leading the championship from the beginning and maintaining that gap. How have you found keeping that gap from t5 and dad24 from closing it ?

(GT-WELSH answer1)
thank you :)

I'm just doing my best and trying to finish high without ruining others races. The gap is just a natural result of my efforts. There are no tactics at play I can assure you!

(Gtplanet question 2)
Looking back to when you started, how did you see this journey originally taking you?

(GT-WELSH)
I originally saw myself coming 3rd behind stig and T5. Dad24 pace came as a surprise and it's remained high throughout which adds to the fun.

(Gtp question 3)
Some drivers keep a payback list in their minds. Do you also have a list for drivers who have done you a favor on the track?

(GT-WELSH)
I have no payback list, and no people ill do more favours more than others. I try to treat everyone equally, as I would like to be treated myself :)

(Gtp question 4)
What was your best part of nurburgring gp races for you and who was your biggest threat in them races?

(GT-WELSH)
nurburgring Gp was a really fun race, running the 5% weight is definitely interesting and is maybe why finding my straight speed lacking . I got really good starts and made very few mistakes. my battles with T5 seemed to go on forever and it was immensely fun!

GTPLANET INTERVIEW 2...

HELLO DAD24DH.

(GTPLANET QUESTION 1)
Firstly congratulations on pole position at nurburgring gp with a great time too how did you find putting that lap together?

(DAD24DH)
Thank you.
I was first to go and was pretty sure I would get smoked. I mainly just relaxed and drove. Didn’t really push the car at all. I was quite surprised to see the time which was about .3 seconds faster than I normally run on a FL.

(GTP QUESTION 2)
Looking back to when you started, how did you see this journey originally taking you?

(DAD24DH)
My goal with the series was to improve my car setup and driving skills and to have fun doing it. Also do do as well as I can, but as a fairly new simracer I had to be realistic. To that end, this series has taught me a lot, helped my driving, and the guys we race with are all awesome. Goals of the journey met!

(GTP QUESTION 3)
Nurb gp R1/R2 If you were going to start this over again, what three things would you do differently?

(DAD24DH)
1. Relax more and stay calm when out front 2. Not drive off the hairpin into the sand when out front. 3. Don’t crash into the pits when out front. 4. When in doubt follow rule 1.

(GTP QUESTION 4)
Some drivers keep a payback list in their minds. Do you also have a list for drivers who have done you a favor on the track?

(DAD24DH)
I don’t keep a payback list. At least not in this series and with this group. Everyone generally drives well and fair. I’ve had a run in or two here and there, but there but grudges lead to bad driving so I try to leave any bad feelings behind as quickly as possible.

TPLANET INTERVIEW 3

Me VRSSTIG

ABOUT MYSELF...
Age 33
Ex motorsport technician working for mclaren working with some of the greatest people and drivers...
Now Self steered buisness owner and share holder that's boring tho...
Hobbies ov motorsport mad... f1 one of them lol.
Ww2 on research mad...
My Spare time diorama and model making cars planes tanks etc etc. Pro airbrusher.
As you's no i build race cars and test them in real life. so my new greatest hobby is sim racing driving with some of the greatest drivers I'm no where near the best nor will be as i no my limits.
I'm busy using custom race frame with yamaha 7.1 digital surround sound and logitech g29 and tm 300rs with t3pa pedals. Which is better they both have there advantages so equal to me.
Sim racing time with a wheel around 300hours + 100hours of that's pro championship races egt3m with poor finish on my behalf. M4 wtcc won. And now v8 gtc and I'm trying to push for 2nd place but happy to take 3rd.

Advise to others.
my note keep a cool head fastest doesn't always win. Years of working in motorsport has tort me it's teams and setup that wins the races a good driver makes the package complete.
Track knowledge.
Brake earlier that's where most time is lost.
You don't need to win to have fun.
I'm a pressure driver I like to have close racing with fellow drivers I don't suffer from nerves when racing as I don' go out to win winning is just a bonus.

Pethate.
been forced off track or rammed I like to review replays before calling someone as sometimes found to be server or Lagg issue.

Favorite tracks where do I start there's loads 3 of my favourite is
nürburg GP circuit
Oulton park
Spa.

(Gtp question)
Some drivers keep a payback list in their minds. Do you also have a list for drivers who have done you a favor on the track?

Yes I do I'm a fast calm driver and I'm calculating in my head where I'm going to overtake and I've got a he'll of respect for other drivers on track ie T5BLACK last night on maggiore West t2 and t3 he gave me the room due to him taking a different line. We were both level from t3 treating each other to space on track rather than closing the door. He's in my fair list with alot more drivers. I will always offer same treatment.
then dirty payback my way is to just beat them fair and square rather than ruining my race as I'm a real sim racer driving with full damage no aids and tyre wear and fuel last thing I need to do is crash.

I hope you's have enjoyed what I've made up and see you's again soon in sim life or real track.
THANKYOU!:gtpflag:
