Before dan can reply to the PM I sent him:), I will help out and even think of driving too.
I did stop driving in the WRS because the pressure started to get to me but with the
back I have had(and learning how fast I am(all golds on B, A and IB license so far)) I think
I'm ready to come back and race again:trouble:.

Right, sorry I took so long to get back to you guys. I'm still having problems with SKY and their not-so-speedy-broadband-package, so I'm going to close this for a very short time, for that reason and because we need to fix up the new structure. To those of you who have shown an interest, I will PM you once we get back underway and invite you to join us. It's gonna take a bit of time, but having listened to what you guys had to say, it'll be in the best interests of the tourney.
Oh yeah, just leaving a message to let you know I haven't forgotten about this.
C ya soon,

sounds good. Do we pick our own cars or do we race from a chosen set?

I am up for some fast driveen.

We were hoping to let you use whatever V8 you fancied, and we had a list drawn up from which you could choose. However, the new structure will be, (in response to the ever dwindling GTP racing population) to tune the cars ourselves. We'll then give you a list of the cars still available and the tune-up details you'll need to do to make it eligible for competition. The bright side of this new structure will be that the actual racing and the list of cars will be a 'cooler' elite class of supercars that will be as evenly matched as we can make them.
Hope that helps,
Danisfast

Finaly, we are doing it!!!
i would like to get in!!!
I think im going to use my new toy, the Mercedes SL55
Dan, please, PM as soon as possible when this starts
thanks:)

Any V8 is OK? I'll start tuning and practicing.

Well, not quite anymore. No specific dates yet, but it won't be too long now before we can give out a few more details about the cars so you can start practising.

Where can we see a list of all the V8's in the game?

No list anymore guys. We've pulled it because not all of the V8s on the original list will fit into the new structure. We're right in the thick of testing and if you keep your eye on the spot races/time comparison section of the forums, we'll have a mini-challenge for you before the season kicks off, hopefully in the coming week or so, using V8 WC eligible cars. The PR should do the tourny good!

I'm ready whenever you get the list up.

YES!!! this sounds great i am definitely in!!

ps can you please include at least one Aussie car? :sly:

👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

i would like to race never raced against people on here. what do i have to do. i am thinking about racing the monaro. please pm any deatils i should know.

Looks like fun. I'll give it a go, but my vehicle tastes are eclectic. I'd prefer to try something like the big ol' Mercury Cougar or '69 Camaro. They can be made light enough and with good (GT, not arcade) setups, they can go stinkingly quick. Otherwise, Griffith, Monaro, Esprit, all good fun for me. Perhaps even the Protomotors Hoojamawotsit - Ford V8 in the back.

My last exam is tomorrow. I'm up for it!.

well does not seem to be going ahead this series shame. i am really intrested.

It's not a total loss...If someone wants to host this tourney in another thread, you are welcome to do so, but I've decided to pick this idea up again once a full PS3 edition is launched, because whilst offline tourneys are a good idea, when you stack it up against games like ToCA Race Driver 3 and the ever growing list of PS3 online sims, it makes the GT4 system look like a bicycle against a racing car in a drag race...
AGAIN: I'll be looking to pick this up later in the GT series, but for now, anyone who wants to run a tourney like this...Fill your boots.

aww..... :grumpy:
