To all those starting such threads (and those that have sent me PMs of the sort), please state what you want to in a clear way, with good detail.

This is a bad example.

Yo' hows it i can get my viper fast in rexxabohpbltttt. i'm confused

This is a good example.

Do you have any suggestions for making my Viper go faster in the Nitto 1320 game that you would share with me? I will try to provide whatever information you need.

The answer there is that I do not know; I stopped playing the game.

The answer is no. What it is is a thread asking people not to start threads which lack the necessary specifics on which to give a reply. The main problem, so far as I've noticed, is in the PC Gaming forum and some PMs I've received, but I posted about it here under the assumption that a broader group would see it.

Perhaps I should mention it in every forum. I think that'd annoy too many, though.

Isn't this a vaguely worded thread?

I would have to say no. It's slightly confusing at first, though.

You could just make this thread an announcement. Or not.

I agree with you Talentless. I have noticed a few threads that are totally confusing because the thread starter has not stated clearly what they need/want.

Wow Klos, you're prescient (classic, by the way...). Or at least as annoyed as Talentless by "ambiguous" threads. Or you were. Or something.

But what if I take it again and get a 1520?
I owe you $1520.

Somehow I don't think that's going to happen, now that I know you don't know English.

Then Doug would only lose $10 out of the deal. I am sure the satisfaction of helping a young man to succeed would be more than worth that price to him. ;)

Every thread title eventually, inevitably becomes ambiguous.

Yeah, this started out about warning people about making threads with irrelevant titles, and this thread has become one from the side-tracked conversation about SAT scores...

wtf do these 710 and 1520 numbers mean?
SAT scores... Colleges/Universities want people to take the SAT test as sort of a general-knowledge test. The test is out of 1600... 800 for the math section, 800 for the English section. If you get a perfect 1600 (or anywhere close), basically any college is yours.

There are also SAT II tests, which are subject specific (and out of 800), such as Biology, History, and a number of others.

By the way, have you ever seen a blue goldfish driving down the road?
Have those Brits been stuffing too much beer down you? ;)
