I love Van Halen I hated when Eddy/Eddie fired David Lee Roth I felt that that was the end of Van Halen, I hate Sammy Hagar he ruined Van Halen by bringing the "Love Song" to the group, I am glad that Eddy/Eddie fired him too.

Crap I thought I clicked on David Lee Roth and the 3rd one but I guess not!

I love Van Halen, and am a big fan of David Lee Roth. (He has 2 songs on the Project Gotham Soundtrack *cough* Xbox *cough*)
I also like Sammy Hagar, but I don't really feel that his version of Van Halen (Van Hagar for those that belive ;) ) stacks up to Dave's.
But you also forgot to add the biggest VH loser of them all... Gary Cherone!!! Those fans should be shot, Drawn, Quartered, ground up, packed in sausage and fed to the Taliban ;)

I was having an argument with my sister, she thinks that Hagar is the better one and I know that Roth is, I didnt know how to spell Cherone's last name so I didnt put him down, hey Tom what was the name of his band? Gary Cherone's band had that crappy hit "More than Words"

It's funny, he used to be the lead singer of a band called Extreme which had one of the most talented guitarists I had ever heard. I believe that his name was Nuno Bettencourt. Technically speaking, he was nearly as good as Eddie Van Halen, but not in the same league as creativity went.
I had always said "If Extreme get's rid of Cherone, they could be a great band." Well... They got rid of him, and he ruined my favorite band. :(
Tell your sister that John Hopkin's University Medical center did a study on fetal alcohol syndrome. Tell her that the results showed that 95% of babies born when the mother had consumed alcohol during the first Trimester of her pregnancy, chose Sammy Hagar over David Lee Roth. And 96% of children with normally functioning brains chose David. ;)

there was nothing good about Van Halen except for the guitars, those songs are all trash.

Oddly enough many people will probably say that about your Demo this year. If you get it out... :p

It would be my personal opinion that when David was with them, the band's musical writing style was easier to understand and enjoy. David made a great front man, knew how to put on a show!

Sammy? Well, with out Sammy, some great songs would have never been produced, but the bands musical writing styles have taken somewhat of a complex twist with more abstract stucture and note sculpting than what the average listener can stomach.

And what about this long haired, extreem guy? Haven't much of their new album to really say yeah or na . . . .guess I should get up to speed with the times and check some of it out.

I guess last year David got back with the band for a benifit concert of some sort, and well personality differences caused quite a ruckous between David and the band that it just didn't work out as they had hoped.

~;)~

Cherone's Van Halen album was Van Halen III, the 1 and only Cherone Van Halen album (thank the lord!)
