I've always wondered about GT5's slogan.
"The real DRIVING simulator"
So, why not include vans in the GT series? Honestly, I really want to haul a Ford Transit round the Nurburgring under 10 minutes! Not only this, but imagine upgrading these with turbochargers (imagine the torque!)
Which will answer all of your car list questions.GT5 Forums' FAQCar list...

Gran Turismo is the last franchise which should be subject to this argument considering it pioneered the inclusion of "everyday" cars in a racing game in an era where everything else had nothing but exotics/supercars/sportscars or at the very least sport compacts. It's just more avenues for fun, we can sit here and argue until we're all blue in the face about which cars "deserve" to be in the game over which others, so it's not like these vans are any less deserving in the bigger scheme of things.

Also the GMC Vandura and Ford Transit in the-game-which-shall-not-be-named-here.
Lol enthusia? Twas a good game.
I feel that what gt5 lacks in true vans, it makes up in average commuter cars. We have every iteration of the prius (well until 08 or so) and even a racing version

That is a bus.
