Vegas 4.0 tutorials and using transitions?

I am wondering if anyone can give me a link to a good "Sonic Foundry Vegas" tutorial?...

Also, I am having trouble with the transitions... How do you connect 2 clips with a transition?... I'm sure it's something rediculously simple, that I am overlooking.... I just can't figure out how to get a smooth transition from one clip to the next....

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Hold, on you can't do transitions? I couldve sworn you used them in some of your videos. To have a transition, you have to have the two bits of video you want overlapping, then as default you get a crossfade. You can right click that and change it to a transition. It's a bit difficult to explain.

I was using other programs for my other vids....

Right click on what, exactly?.... I had 2 clips overlapping, and I tried to drag and drop a transition, but I could only drag it to one or the other... I couldn't get it to transition between the 2.... This is one of the only roadblocks I have come up against....

I would also like to learn how to give motion to effects....
