The Astrolab is a unique and forward thinking eco friendly concept car from the small but well respected Monaco-based marque - Venturi. Its name ("astro" translated 'star' and "labe" translated 'to take') hints at the idea behind its design. The Astrolab uses a 37lb/ft torque electric motor and battery pack, combined with its large solar panel area to run this ultralight (280kg) vehicle to a maximum speed of 75 mph, whilst retaining a maximum combined range of up to 79 miles.
Venturi has been missed by many fans of the GT franchise since its inclusion in GT2, and this relatively slow but nonetheless fascinating concept car would be as great a start as any...
I think he means that creating the panels costs other resources, which basically means your just creating more pollution to reduce pollution, which makes sense, but once you have enough solar panels, you can use solar energy to create new solar panels. so yeah, for now creating solar panels is just as bad as using fossil fuels, but thats not the right attitude, as it will be much better in the long run.
