that's because people are giant stains, and well, I believe the X1 should be only available online the same way you can only use the Ferrari F1 car, lock the room to it!

Good idea, but the only reason PD put the lock on for Ferrari F1's is that they got a contract with Ferrari to allow the use of 2 of their F1 cars but the contract said that they can only race against each other and strictly not any other car in the game. If you ask me why then I think it's to stop the FGT from embarrassing Ferrari even though it doesn't exist in real life.

well, here is the not so big thing people are forgetting, you can limit the BHP, KG and PP in any room, therefore if you want close racing you simply restrict them all, for example a good room restriction would be,

224BHP, 1400KG, 420PP, sports hard tires,

the stupid thing is PD are to ignorant to recognise that things like upgrading the clutch, gearbox, LSD etc should add to a vehicles PP, which it doesn't, I also believe tires should be included into a PP per car too,

I dont think you can limit pp and hp at the same time. Its one or the other.

not that it can outside an oval, even at Spa the F1 car is 4 seconds faster then the FGT

Dave, you don't know what you're talking about. Even in ITCC, I based all of the specs off of hp/weight, so I had some troll come in in an Atenza touring car, at 276 hp and above weight. I couldn't kick the car out, because it matched the restrictions of everything but PP. So, I kicked him on the grounds of having aerodynamic downforce. Remember that?
 
I don't remember that but I know it happens, I could've swore that you could set all 3, as that's how I spec'd modern and classic muscle for V8 super cars, to make sure that there couldn't be any aero performance differences between the 2 car's,
But if I'm wrong I'm wrong,

another car that got hindered by the PP balance, the ZR1 RM, at the wurks specs it as around 556PP the GTR R35 TC was around 589PP now the corvette is 588PP
 
Without me knowing GT5's customer base, I don't know if 2.10 is a good thing or bad thing. of course it's a bad thing for high skill level players, but what if 75% of GT5 users don't care what 2.10 did to the game and that PD knew ahead of time that the net result is that 2.10 will add new customers and revenue? Maybe that add'l revenue will allow for PD to invest more heavily in GT6. Just trying to find a bright side in all of this. O yeah, I see that my garage of Audi R8 550pp's are now 530pp.....just in keepin' with the OP!

What? How will it add new customers and revenue? Pretty much the only people still playing GT5 is us lot.

You'd be surprised how many new players are around after the Holiday Season.
I'm neither supporting, nor dismissing the claim that it has anything to do with 2.10, rather just mentioning, that despite GT5's age, Christmas still represents a rise in users.

Do you really think that just us GTP'ers play anymore? If 70+ million copies of the GT Series have been sold and 8+ Million of GT5, then IMO 50,000+ players log in to GT5 per week. If 80% of them are less skilled players and discover they are winning more after 2.10 it means they'll come back to the game more often than before. That helps PD in the long run. Just my opinion.....:sly:

Just because 8 million copies have shifted off the shelves doesn't mean those people will be playing it. Hate to say it, but actually, it's not a very popular game compared to the current big franchises. I take your point though, and Adrenaline's, maybe there are more new players around Christmas etc.

Thank God. I may not post here often but i read this forum every day and if you quit playing/tuning i would not know what to do with myself. I always look foward tk more of your tunes. Keep it up!
 
I think it will be all Dirty NASCAR for me from now on. :) A half of a step above Mario Kart, but at least all of the cars are equal.
