I am VERY sorry to have to make this announcement.
But, I am afraid that I have to!

Unfortunately, I no longer have the time, energy, or more sadly, the enthusiasm to continue running the W.E.S.
Falling entries (With only Delfino (Thanks mate! ) and myself running most weeks), falling numbers of guys playing GT4 in preference to GT5P based racing, - full-stop, and the simple fact that my family life is basically taking 95% of my energy, have led me to this decision.

I would like to thank all of the drivers that have participated in this series, you know who you are!
And I would also like to to say that if ANYONE wishes to take over the running of the W.E.S., they are more than welcome to do so (With my blessing).
I am not going anywhere, and will still be racing in 'selected' series, but I just haven't the time to dedicate to running one any more.

Neil :(

It is sad to lose a race series director as dedicated as you, but personal life does come first

All good things must come to an end .. Tyre King .. thankyou for the series and the effort put into it 👍 .. much appreciated :)

When and if things settle down here at home, and I start finding myself with some free time and energy that I can spare, I would look at re-starting the series if no-one else has.
But by that time GT5 proper may have come along, and made it a moot point.

You never know, do you?

I'm really sad about having to do this, but it's an expenditure/return equation that unfortunately is well into the red at the minute.
If there were more regular participants, then I probably wouldn't have made this decision. It would have been worth carrying on with it (maybe with a co-director's help?).

But as it is..............?:indiff:

Sorry to hear that Neil. I myself am guilty of not participating when I should have, and I apologize for that. You did a helluva job while it lasted, and will do so again if/when it comes back.

I seriously have my doubts about online racing in GT5P, or GT5 in general. I know I'm not going to get to race against you, Laz, or many of the drivers I've come to know through the Long Race Series forum. Time zones, outside influences, and any other issues can crop up, and I firmly believe that there's always going to be a place for this forum and the WES.

Hopefully I can look forward to whomping you in the LMS series this season though (/shameless plug). I'm getting worse! But good luck to you and spend some time w/ that daughter of yours...hopefully not sleepy-eyed at 3am. :)
