VERY wierd Explorer problem...

This is very strange, and It's freaking me out! I hink I have a haunted folder! Whenever I try to do anything to the folder (specifically Q:\Music\Ripped CDs\DJ Micro\Music Through Me\) or to the files inside the folder (even attempt to move them) Explorer shuts down with no warning whatsoever.

I have yet to restart my comp, for I am in the middle of a big download. Has anyone else ever had a haunted folder or file? And, more importantly, does anyone know how to fix it?

I've never had this happen to me. Is there any way you can delete the folder and recreate it? It sounds to me like the folder might be located on a bad sector of your HD, thats the first thing that comes to my mind. Maybe restart in safe mode and delete the folder then recreate it once you finish the download? Might also want to run scandisk or something and a virus check. I'm not really sure what else to suggest, however.

Ditch Explorer and see if Total Commander can acess the files. Then copy them (not the whole directory) to a new folder. Maybe this will help?
