Sorry, but I'm not obsessive and the trophies are not meaningless if I'm trying to complete the game100% and get the gold standard trophy. I fail to see how wanting to complete the game with a gold standard makes me obsessive.
 
I agree with KB. God forbid someone wants to accomplish something in a game they love. It took one of my best friends 18 years to beat Mike Tyson by knockout on Mike Tyson's Punch Out. Most would call that "nostalgic fun" but not some of the people in this thread I wager.

Seriously, the guy wants to challenge himself and get the most out of his game. More power to him.
 
imagine if anyone of those tracks were switched out for nurburgring 24hr format, or anyone but the one in the challenge. think the challenge was hard before good luck golding the ring
 
Remember waiting 2 minutes to start that dreadful lap on the ring in gt4? Chasing the 300sl in that tail happy mclaren Benz? Just thinking about it makes me mad!

Try doing endurance races in the same car...after a while it starts to feel a bit slower as you get used to doing longer stints in it. Should be an easy win but just keep trying to better your lap times.

That's what I would suggest. The last 2 24hr ones which has the Nurberg in it anyway. After I've done the 24's my times got better by 10 seconds first try. So stay at it, and it will eventually come, good luck.💡

If you want to try and complete it all power to you. This guy couldn't do it and was asking for ways to cheat. If you can't do it, you can't do it. Either keep trying or drop it. Begging for cheats or even for someone else to do it is common to people who don't care about the satisfaction of completing games, they just want the trophies.
 
I remember how I solved this problem. At the very first corner, I realized that the X2010 is **** and immensely boring to drive so I decided to never drive it again. Still happy with that.

I solved this problem by ignoring the challenge and ignoring the fantasy X cars completely.

I'm also missing trophies for any enduro longer than 4 hours.

And I haven't even golded all the license tests.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever gotten 100% on any game I've ever played. Guess I'm just not that serious about games.

Same here for me as well, although I have gone back & started to gold all the licence tests, AMG driving school tests & Grand Tour events that weren't golded initially. I play GT5 mainly for the driving/racing experience. The X1/2011 is just absurd, IMO.

I tried that for the first time with my DFGT earlier because I remember it being tricky with the DS3, I managed to do it by 3 tenths and I slid to the inside of the last corner so I lost drive. You just have to sharpen the corners slightly so you can get fully on throttle as quickly as possible instead of taking the normal line and dabbing the throttle.

You're not wrong about the cheating. That said, he did go on record and say he would prefer to use correct methods but he's just frustrated with how hard the challenge is. Plenty of posts have provided him insight on proper ways to finish the challenge. Hopefully, he will take that advice.
 
Well i think that people who are cheating , are not enjoying the game. If they are not enjoyng the game , they just dont like it...
I think if u enjoy the game and u accept challenges , u dont need any cheats or glitch. Cheating wont make this game more interesting.

I can't imagine it gives much satisfaction either. It's just ticking a box.
 
LOL Jubby. If you gold Vettel, and not grand tour, that can only mean one thing...

OP, maybe I can help you with that. If you are 0.5secs from the gold this may help: Connect the controller USB cable.

That sucks...:ouch:. Just don't start thinking those "if only..." thoughts, it'll only burn more.


I haven't been able to even silver any of the races yet. Monza always throws me off with the first chicane, especially on the second lap. Nurburg is a pain. Haven't bothered with Suzuka yet.

I just got a wheel not too long ago - gave the Vettel challenge a shot and still failed horribly but it felt a bit easier (though the wobbling on the straights is a pain).

I feel their pain! :( lol

Simular thing happened on one of the licences I was .003 off the time :grumpy: was so frustrated but kind of gave me more focus and helped me learn better lines in the end I beat the time by half a second!

So yeh practice does make perfect!
 
I thought I would have it by now... Looks like I'll be 2 golds and one thousandth away from platinum forever haha (that's jokes I'll get it eventually even if it means buying a wheel!)
