Hey Exorcet,

can you post your Monza splittimes?
I'm still 4 seconds away from gold.
On my first lap, I pass the second bridge on the backstraight at about 50-52s.
Thats the only point, where I check my times currently.

I didn't memorize the Monza times, so I just decided to do the challenge again. Unfortunately I messed up on lap 2, but I managed to pass Vettel on lap 1 by cutting the second chicane.

1 - ~22.5 (1) ~18.25 (2)
bridge - ~ 50.0
2 - 40 (1) DNF (2)
lap 1 - 1:03.159
lap 2 - DNF

What's your speed into the last chicane? The slowest I went was 205 mph into the first turn. After that it was full throttle.
 
I got closer yesterday. Still 1.8 seconds...
After one hour, I switched to Nürburgring.
Seems as if I still need a lot of practice here - 7 seconds missing.

For the first time, I changed gears manually - It helped a lot.
Especially in those tight and slow corners.
 
I have been trying this challenge for months now i finally got bronze on nurburgring and monza last night well happy with that but i cant get through the first 2 corners on suzuka im really struggling i dont wanna glitch any of it though im enjoyin it too much for spoil the challenge im using a ds3

Nürburgring is possible like this, after the start theres a place where you can glitch once ur in turn 90 degrees to left and get down (you should be at 2nd to last corner voila
 
Cmon guys if no one has done a vid they dont want it to be seen or either none cba's to do it. Maybe some of you make a video for massive fame? Anyways i got my capture card broken so i aint doing it

You know, after 4 GOD**** HOURS and full of DQ messages, I'm going to need a bat to smack my TV down, cause the Ring GP/F Course is the only thing standing between my X2010 Prototype! Garrrgh!!

Hey have you had the glitch worked out now? Not trying to rush you but I've been trying for the past 4 hours and only silver! I can't even get that time anymore, let alone gold.

Lol it's torture isn't it , take a break , I'm going to try the glitch again shortly . If I have any luck I'll post asap ;)

I stopped about 40 minutes ago and I need .993 seconds for gold, and the reason I had that far a gap is because my little brother went into my room and broke my concentration and fell at the Schumacher S! Hope you find a glitch, I only got a purple X2010 >:(
 
No, didn't have time to try it yet.
I was busy making the WRS Podium vids ;)
 
Nooo I keep on losing!!! I found that glitch but if I try to leave to the chicane it DQs you! Or if you do a perfect figure 8 it resets you! Why must I have a DS3?!

I think the glitch don't work on the dam Nürburgring. My best non glitcher time was till now a 2:11,159. I can not even get silver! :grumpy:

ABS - 1, SRF - On; Everything else off. My new record is 2:08.466. I usually turn hard on the corners and go wide. Do what settings you need, this is MY preferred setting.

I just finally managed to gold Nürburgring 2 days ago and get my carbon X2010 using DS3 after having the game since launch day. Found best setting was having abs at 10 rear brakes set to 10 and front brakes set to 1 so that car oversteers rather than understeers under braking to help turn in. Also had ASM / TCS off and SRF turned on. I never want to drive the car again bob can drive the x2010 from now on.

The brake bias of 1/10 is actually pretty radical, but surprisingly it works pretty good. I feel now I can take the corners a bit faster & better.

Is there a way to set the brake bias so you don't have to change it via the RA menu each time? It seems everyone is different but I quite like ABS set to 1 with front bias at 10 and rear at 5. Best time so far is a 2:09.538 after more than 12 hours over the last 3 days, only actually finished 2 laps about 15 times though lol.

I've also found that switching the throttle & brake from the right analog stick, which I usually use, to R2/L2 seems to allow for braking later and better throttle regulation. Makes it more difficult to turn whilst braking though.

Yeah its a pain having to change it each time but if you set the brake bias in the menu then pause and select restart before starting your lap then it should remember you setting from then on.
 
I finished it 3 hours ago, 2:07.993! My last lap started with me thinking, " Oh great I'm going to fail and fail and fail..." And when I did the 1st lap 1:04.101, I was like, " Oh sh** concentrate..." Last lap I almost sandbagged, I crossed the line, thinking, " That was a total silver, I just know it........OOOHHHH **** ITS A GOLD!!! AHAHAH!!! LOOK AT MY FINGER NOW, VETTEL!"

1st lap - 1:04.101

2nd lap - 1:03.892

PS: I used my DS3
 
Monza is relatively easy.
After trying for good half an hour to get out of Suzuka... I gave up.
Looks like I just have to be content with silver.
I did get gold on Monza and Nurburgring playing with the controller but Suzuka is damn hard and frustrating.
