I seem to be unable to get it any faster. When I get to 277 in the tunnels the RPMs just stop climbing and the car won't go any faster.
I was wondering if this is a shared experience or only exclusive to me and the way I have my Veyron geared.

A stock Bugatti Veyron 16.4 can physically not go faster than 407 KM/H. Even when it's geared the speed isn't that greatly increased.

As you increase speed the power needed to overcome aerodynamic drag increases exponentially. Eventually you will hit a "wall". If you have it maxed out on power you can try very small adjustments to the gearing to try to get that next tiny bit of speed, but eventually there just won't be enough power to overcome the drag.

I've never tried my Bugatti at SS7 but at Circuit de Sarthe it goes 278 mph going up and 283 mph coming down.

learn how to streach out the gears if you only want top speed. can max out around 293ish without drafting

I've had that with my F2007, tuned it to go very fast but lost a lot of speed and revs after shifting into 7th
