Veyron, GT9, or SSC?

Definitely the Veyron! 👍
As someone had already mentioned here, all of the super cars can't be compared to each other as almost each car is built differently and for different reasons. Sure the Veyron is pretty much fast and is a luxurious car for the extremely rich. As Clarkson has said before, "the Bugatti Veyron is compared to the Concorde" because of the money spent on developing it and how exclusive the car was.... 👍

As for the SSC, it was built for track purposes as well as a drivers car. It is faster and lighter and cheaper than the Veyron, but its not entirely a car that you would feel comfortable driving on the streets. As for the 9ff, I have no 🤬 clue what they were intending the car to do. Almost pointless if I do say so myself..... 👎

But if I had a choice, it wouldn't be neither of these. I could very much spend that money and build myself my own supercar! :dopey:

If I had to have one of them...As much as it pains me to say it, it's got to be the Veyron. Atleast the Veyron you can actually drive on the road and know that if a truck comes around the corner of your single laned road you aren't going to die in a fiery mess of 9FF or SSC. The Veyron was built to be a good all rounder, they are hardly going to build a car which is great on track but you can't actually use anywhere else. Only silly people do that...:p

For the money of the Veyron, I could and would get these two cars, and the house instead:

:p I doubt that GT-one would be that cheap... althought this car is pure win... and that's a lovely Celica...

I'd choose the Veyron though, can't be bothered to sum up why, look at posts above :dopey:

GT-R and 996 GT1 sounds mighty fine

Either good choices. Prices hover around $2,0000,000 for a Veyron, though...I might have to settle for something a little more...uh...less famous.

Anyone can make a car go fast with 16 cylinders, 4 turbos, and 10 radiators, its just a half-a$$ed way to do it.
Cool. I'll put a couple of LS9s in my Blazer then. Actually, that would rock.

Surprising to hear someone whose opinion I respect take this viewpoint; I still disagree (though it makes me think).
Doug, I'ma gonna blow you away:

(Or as I have taken to calling it, 3/4 of a Veyron). And hell, throw in a 959 as well (or as I call it, 1/2 of a Veyron). Then a lovely house in Alberta.

Granted, I still think the Maccy is a better car than the Veyron (from a driver's perspective), and the Veyron is a better car than the 959 and EB110 (overall), but you know.

The Veyron, just because it'll be fast and easy to live with.

No offense mate, but that's a pretty bold statement to make considering cars like the Veyron don't go through any tests to tell you just how safe they are. The Veyron probably is safer than the others, but it may or may not be much more.

The problem here is that the road version of those are all probably way more. The Veyron's $1.4 million, $1.8m if you want to be bumped up the list. The only GTR-1 road car in the world is est. to be just as much. And that 911 GT1 was sold for $2 million the last the time it went for sale.

The Veyron has been tested more by car magazines; one group even took it for their long-term report. It fared very well considering it was a 1001hp brute. I doubt the SSC has that sort of driveability given the money put into the Veyron, and the 9FF is a bit too unconventional...

I would take a Veyron of the three. But I would try for buying out PD first, or a GT-One, as Bram Turismo said.

Who said I wanted the road version? Race car for race day, $70,000 road car for road day.

Might throw in a $30,000 truck and $10,000 trailer for the race car.

For those skeptical of the SSC, Jay Leno reviewed and was very impressed.

Quoted, he said it had your standard supercar interior and was not a kit car of any way.

The more and more I look at it, the more awesome it looks, especially with that red-black combination. The front still looks all wrong though, while the rear of the car is just awesome. Also, seeing this thing costs less than half a Veyron, I just might have to reconsider my choice...

No contest. Veyron. Think of the $$$ spent on the project. It's a much better place to be period.

I personally think the Veyron is the best marvel of engineering amongst the three, and i have huge huge respect for that. However, i'm a fan of simple, good looking, preferably light, and drivable.

Ergo, Macca F1. Its the Veyron before things went overboard as regards power, weight, luxury etc.

Gun to the head, I'm likely going to choose the Veyron. I think anyone would be stupid not to, particularly when it will actually function as a car far better than the other two ever would.

But there is a problem...

For that kind of money, I could have a plethora of cars that would make me far happier, and still offer 8/10s of the speed at 1/10th of the price.

Im aware of the custom tires which you can only get from Bugatti, but the point i'm making is that after a hard thrashing on a racecourse, those tires are likely to be useless.

I'd rather have a Carrera GT than both of them. As for between the 3 cars in the original post, I might just take the SSC Ultimate Aero TT for the "rare" factor. :dopey:
