I found a deceptively easy way to beat other fully tuned Veyrons;

Veyron; Max power
Stock suspension
Full custom tranny
Put "top speed" slider all the way to "480"
50/50 torque dist
Racing softs
Launch from 2nd, and compare w/ others.

you will not beat any1 like that plus Its better to launch from 1st in a veyron put it's AWD to good use

You get wheelspin in 2nd, which is just enough to hold the revs @ peak power until you need to shift.

Your method requires extending 1st until it can accelerate w/o bouncing the revs on the limiter. My 2nd gear tweak just happens to be that. Also, since you don't need to shift from 1st>2nd if you start in 2nd, you will lose less time shifting.
 
With AWD, you ALWAYS need to launch in 1st. Especially at SSR7.

I was talking about indy. sorry. 2nd gear launch better for indy not the tunnel. Hell no for the tunnel. You will bog the **** out. And no I ran there a few times. Just to see how much different it is from indy.
 
My main SSR7 consultant dr_slump tells me I should use all the gears there… end of :D
 
Try that 2nd gear stuff against my tranny tuned veyron that does a 90mph launch from 1st gear with short middle gears and a pull 6th and 7th.....your azz is toast.

Learn to tune dude.
 
Just to clear this up. If you are running tunnel you have to use all 6 gears. And fully customizable suspension. I max out at 81mph in first gear. Gone in 60 sec ure first gear is to long.
 
Doesnt mean I shift at 90. Depend s on what my opponant shifts at during 1st run. I f I know you are shifting early then I adjust.
 
I never said that's where you shift at. By having your first gear that long you will have bog in first. And shifting early will kill your run. The veyron is a very shift specific car. If you shift early in any gear you will loose top end pull. Miss the shift point by 100rpm and you will pay the price. I was just trying to give you some advice. Take it or leave it. It's no skin of my back.
 
What im trying to tell you is that even with 90 in 1st I never bog.

If you shift at 81 and I at 90 than you would maybe edge me.

I dont bog, my gears are all smooth. All my high hp cars do 90. Mybe you need some advice. 81 bogs, 90 will push your gears all the way thru til top speed.

Im talking tunnal, not 1/4

What's your torque split? If that's a secret, no prob, but it could be the reason.

Another thing is that the veyron has just a massive torque curve. A very long gear might not bog, but it won't accelerate as good as it should. Don't understand me wrong, I can't remember how long (in speed) the first should be, so I don't say the 90mph thing is crap.

I'm pretty sure that you both are right, but each of you in an own way.
 
Ok no problem. We shall do this later then I can wait. Ile word it like this for you. If your first is set to 90 and mine is set to 81 you will bog compared to me.

I can all ways break down a gear box and redo the whole thing for a better tune.

1. Nobody said that.
2. Sure you can redo it, but that has never been the point.
3. Believe me, we know how fast sammy and dongrooviania are.
 
Yeah Sammy is on my friends list. And I have run with don a few times. But I don't see how there names are relevant here.
 
Dude its just creative talking because we already settled the situation with a drag meet.

Why cant you guys just be layed back and chill?

The nitpick stuff is really annoying. Were just talking cars like normal car lovers do, then the divas come with the bs.

I mean seriously its like the nfl right now with all these rules that make it seem like flag football....just let them play......just let the car head talk cars.

The names are relavent....i asked did he ever ”DrAg” against them.

I am glad you want to let the cars do the talking we need new people to come up on the scene. because some of this is getting redundant. Hope to see you out on the strip join a room of ours meaning myself joey3000 and dr24fan and we can drag. No need for harsh words lets just run down the strip.
 
Yea I dont use harsh words, I just dont see how some people are so up tight on these boards.

I mean you dont invite the guys over to the mancave on football sunday and complain because they didnt dress casual, or didnt dap their mouths with a napkin after every bit of food.

Well I went looking for him but couldnt find him anywhere.

I was on all night working on a faster no stripes tune and breaking in a new z06 on bspec.
