What is the best free video editing software out there?
In terms of useability and features.
In terms of useability and features.
Lightworks is quite good. Although it is complicated and hard to understand at times; you can cut and edit videos, add effects, add audio to a video, and more.
I use Windows Movie Maker 2.6 it is similar to Windows Live Movie Maker here is a link. http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2009/02/11/windows-movie-maker-2-6-available-for-vista-windows-7/. This one is better than Windows Live Movie Maker.
Thanks for input.
I'll look into it.
I've also seen other freeware like: Lightworks,DVDknife 4.0,,Ezvid.
Are these safe to use?
Yeah as long as it's not made the NSA 👍
What's the safest website to download DVD knife 4.0?
I normally use Windows Movie Maker 2.6, it has a bad reputation from all the pros but there are plenty of plugins such as the one which allows you to save your movies as HD.
Here maybe.

Maybe?
That doesn't sound to confident.
Has anyone here downloaded any DVD cutting software that's safe?
I've tryed getting some cutting freeware but norton says there's virus'.
I'll download it, I'll get back to you.
EDIT: Seems fine to me, just ignore Norton, whenever you run an .exe it starts crapping itself.![]()
Ok thanks.
Downloded it seems fine, scanned it says it's safe.
EDIT do you know of any DVD cutting freeware that saves pictures of videos and DVD's?
As has been mentioned Windows Movie Maker, I use it all the time. It has basic video effects and video transitions, you can import video, pictures (it has a "take picture" option which takes a picture of your preview screen) and music. I have found one major problem with WMM after using different versions of it on different computers over the course about 6 years which is that it is prone to crashing so get into the habit of saving once every couple of minutes if you use it.
