Hmmm, they don't want kids to play, but they file this lawsuit? Gives fuel to the fire against the industry, but I understand their position.

Well, if we put an "R" rating on violent movies, but allow kids to play games with blood and decapitation, that's kinda hypocritical in the first place.

I'd like to see how other states deal with this... if the law holds up in court, we could see a couple of them follow suit.

Personally, I think that law's a great idea. We don't allow kids to see or buy R-rated films, why should they be allowed to buy M-rated games? Makes sense to me. The only people who whine about it ARE the kids.

At the very least, it should help people wake the hell up and realize that games aren't just for kids anymore. When Mom has to pull out her ID to buy a game for Little Johnny, it's going to make her look really hard at that game to find out why. And that's a good thing. Especially with the next-gen systems, where they can't hide behind the "it's all fake" thing anymore, what with the über-realistic graphics and such.
