Video hosting

I guess Tuff240 is still working on the hosting part, I've made them all but don't want to provide all the bandwidth that would be required for "everyone" to download them all. My server is provided to me for free and I doubt the owner would want 120GB+ of his bandwidth to be consumed, above and beyond what bandwidth of his my site already uses.

Hey Tuff, maybe hosting them in stages would work, putting some up now and some more next month, to spread out the bandwidth usage . . . just a thought. Also, I think GT Planet volunteered to help with the hosting too.

I've started working on a webpage for this today. I will have all of the NTSC videos, Rudi's and Momo's PAL replay videos available by the end of today.

If you would like to check in on the progress, I have up to race 3 done so far. I will add the ghost replays later, since those are all already available elsewhere. Eventually I would like to have all replays and videos, but I'm not sure who is going to make the PAL videos? Even top 3 would be nice as that accounts for a lot of the top finishes.

I will have to close it down if I get too close to my limit (I'm responsible for 2 business websites who take precidence).

Bobkart, thanks for making all the NTSC vids, that was super cool of you. You can delete them from your server now if you like. I have them all. 👍

Whoops, looking at Round 7, the WMV is for Sharkie's run (1:02.674). There was a disqualification above her, moving her up to 9th instead of 10th where you have her.

I have made Divx replays for 3 runs by request from BC5

Hugo R4 - 10mb
Zoky R6 - 10mb
Small_fryz R7 - 9mb

I have a tiny amount of bandwidth available and will host them long enough for you to let me know you have them Patrick 👍

I now have my extra bandwidth in place (1,500gb a month :eek: ), so I can actually host a video of every single replay if someone would make them. At least the 5 remaining 1st positions would be nice. ;)

Edit: For those of you that don't understand bandwidth, I could probably host every GT forum on the net. :lol:
 
Bandwidth is the amount of data you transfer and Tuff is limited to 1500GB now. ;) 1.5TB! :eek:

The biggest commercial hard-drive may have maybe around 300GB. :)

VV sent me a link a while back to a webpage that had 10 zip files in it, one per Round, each with all the replays for that Round in it. But I can't find that post now. Maybe a PM to VV?
 
Thanks Mistral 👍 I can get to work now and do the missing 1st places .... I wont do every replay as I have a life ... 'sometimes'!! :p ..... but I will do the 1st places no probs ;)
