Hi guys, finally i got the videos.

With the big help of Jump_ace, i can see them now.

Well, here is the link of this nurburgring lap. As soon as i improve it i will try to record another one. :)

Mind if I ask you what settings you were running? I know you upgraded the turbo, but I'm curious as to what settings you used. :D

No settings, this was made on arcade. U can just adjust your gear settings, i think i puted 420 kph settings.

On GT mode you can adjust everything, on arcade nothing. :D

Crap that's right. Oh well, I'll make my Minolta try to handle like that. ;)

Sweet Christ that car is so overrated in this game it hurts.

Imagine if they put the really good Group C cars in, with the Minolta as the Yardstick for what an average Group C was...

I must say, I miss my DS2 sometimes for the twitchy fast laps that I just can't reproduce with my DFP...

But man, the smoothness with those slower cars really makes up the difference.

Well, i once got, i dunno how, and i won´t get again, 4'45.9 in arcade too, but i had a hit in last corner so i just didn´t save the lap so frustated i was.

I can hit now like a 4'46.5 or like that, 4'45 again i think almost impossible, maybe on the F1 is possible but on minolta is too hard. 4'46 its my bet. But i have to get back to that again, 1 month nontrying.
@Kennythebomb, yeah, no TCS is surely better to go fast, but u have to stand the heat and don´t don´t make it wheelspin, otherwise just retry and your lap is gone. U can see that sometimes i just get out of a corner on 4th gear somesort on low rpms, its to don´t loose the traction, coz on 3rd gear, my lap would be already lost. :)
 
I have been straining my rear end off trying to set a scorcher on the 'ring in my F1 and 5'13.589 is the best I can do, but after watching your video I have a couple of new ideas...that was insane man!!!! Congrats on a fantastic lap.

I'm sure there are cars capable of doing lap times like that - however no driver would EVER do that in real life....

Maybe the cars are, maybe they aren't. Point is, no one wants to try and find out because no driver wants to try because they have the risk of dieing.

Lol so give me the car! i dunno if i will clock this lap in real life, maybe not coz its too hard, but at least the fear i don´t have! :)


See that the world record so far is Stefan Bellof´s run in 1983, clocked 6'11.130 in the Group C Mythical Rothman´s Porsche 956B. I dunno about 5 min laps, maybe near the limit. :drool:

But i would risky myself into that at least. :)

No, you wouldn't.

With all due respect pulling that same lap in that same car would absolutely scare
the **** out of you so bad that you would lose 15 pounds, and I'm NOT kidding!

Even if you think you could handle it, your survival instincts would say otherwise. You would have such a high level of stress that you wouldn't be able to do more than T1 like that....hell getting air at Flugplatz alone scares most people....

I downloaded and watched the replay file (.max) well seated in my living room!

This replay is awesome. I never thought it was possible to go under 5mins on this track. Congrats!
 
downloaded it yesterday, what a lap! need to get practising - bet i can hardly break the 5:30 mark never mind 5!!! 👍 :)
