I was looking at the stats for these 2 cars in my GT2 strategy guide (Mostly for quick reference on car stats), and I saw that the GTS and the SRT-10 have the same horsepower. The SRT-10 has less weight, yet the GTS costs more. Thats kind of contradictory to the fact that people shell out mucho dinero to reduce the weight in their cars. Also, can you tune out the GTS higher and faster? There has to be some reason that the GTS is more expensive.

ok sry bout that, and thanks for that I had been wondering. My friend and I got into a huge arguement if it was the SRT-10 or the RT-10. Anyways so why does the GTS cost more even though it has the same horsepower and weighs more than the RT-10.

It handles better, in general a coupe will always handle better than a convertible, a coupe has a stiffer body and chassis, when the roof is removed it causes alot of that ridgidity to dissapear and the result is poorer handling. The GTS is also more aerodynamiclly stable at speeds. Other than that, the prices in GT games don't always reflect performance, look at the cost of the Venturi Atlantique 300, it's more than the Vipers but no where near as fast tuned or not.

The SRT/10 is better than a GTS, the RT/10 which is the old Viper convertible isn't, the SRT/10 has 500Bhp, a larger engine and I beleive it weighs less as well than the GTS. But the old RT/10 is not as good. When the new Viper coupe comes out in a year or two, expect it to be better than the STR/10.

SRT-10 isnt even in the game so lets forget that. Yes RT/10 is lighter. No, it shouldnt cost more. The coupe top costs a lot just in case you didnt know. Performance? I hardly find a difference. I prefer the looks of GTS tho, so im prolly biased towards it. Engine is identical. All you need to kno. Just up to your personal flavor.

No, they shouldn't cos t different amounts. But personally I believe that the gts is faster for all out speed and that the rt/10 handles more responsively.:sly:

The GTS is faster and handles better than the RT/10.

If 8.3 is too big so is 8.0, theres not much difference.

Yeah, you lucky USA people, we pay in Germany €1.15 per litre, that equals 1.35$ let's say......so from what i guess it's 3-4 times more expensive here in Germany, so you can't afford to have 8L. And you pay insurances LOTS of money for anything above 2L and so on.....Even if i'd had the money to buy a GTS, it would be waaaaay to expensive to keep it :(

On the other hand, you get the autobahn. We get ruthless speed enforcement.

I think were the luckiest over here in England car wise, we have TVR, Aston Martin, Jaguar, AC and the many thousands of thoes UK kit car manufacturers. Oh and Westfield, Tiger, Caterham, Radical ect. But the petrol prices are extortionate, so is the insurance costs.
