Virgin Racing will unveil their debut car in ninety minutes, at 10am local time. It's going to be entirely online. As you may have guessed from my avatar, this is one I'm quite looking forward to, and not least because it's the first car launched by a new team. According to Lucas di Grassi, the livery is going to be black, so hopefully it will look good - the last black car we had as the Arrows A19 back in the last 1990s, and it looked great.

You know what would've made the first post complete...

The URL for the "completely online" Car launch...

Well, as it turns out, there isn't one. It seems Virgin got hit by a crippling technical problem that has meant they haven't been able to get the video up.

Poor old Virgin. It can only get better from here.

I was just about to post that... and I noticed you posted that on F1Fanatics (albeit avec typo?!)

Ninety-nine minutes overdue:

Well worth it, I'd say.

It's a very simplistic front wing they've got going there. Rear wing could do with a alrger number on it, too (but at least they have one - Force India didn't carry numbers at all last season).

Love the livery, reminds me of MF1's. Hope tey don't end up like MF1 though.

Well worth it, I'd say.

I had something similar drawn up, but with the white and red switched around.

$10 says they're going to wear white jumpsuits in Malaysia and Arabia.

Love the really pinched nose...

The rest looks quite standard - livery is great though.

+1 yeti, fantastic livery

All it needs now is a comedy horn and the VR-01 can be nicknamed the "Pretendolino"

Car looks fantastic, I'm genuinely amazed at how how there are so many good looking cars this year, and they all look so different.

It looks almost exactly the way I pictured it, an MF1 basically!

The livery looks stunning, but the car seems to be normal though... It does looks a bit like the Midland but I really do hope that it didn't ended up like Midland 4 years ago.

In anyways, I still like Sauber more ;)

Beautiful livery, and beautiful car.

I wonder if they're holding back on the aerodynamics for this show car as the front wing looks too basic compared to the others and what we've seen even last year. Either that or they'll have to play catchup very quickly once the season starts.

Thanks Ardius, that and I suppose a working, reliable car first makes sense.

It's just that it happened to remind me of the very simple Toyota AM01/TF101 I saw last year

Well, lets not judge them in comparison to the established teams and wait for the new teams to show up. I imagine Dallara, Lotus and USF1 will also look quite basic, especially Lotus thanks to their massive rush to make it in time.
