I THINK I SPEAK FOR 95% OF THE VDC CONTESTANTS WHEN I SAY, "IF YOU CLOSE VDC I'LL BE MAD (NOT AT YOU BUT AT THE UNGRATEFUL CONTESTANTS WHO RUINED IT FOR EVERYONE ELSE)." VDC IS AN AWESOME TOURNAMENT AND YOU SHOULDN'T CLOSE IT BECAUSE YOU HAVE 5% OF THE VDC CONTESTANTS BEING JACK***ES. VDC IS AWESOME AND 5% IS BETTER THAN EVERY OTHER TOURNAMENT IN GTP HISTORY. KEEP IT ALIVE AND STRONG. :D

Don't close vdc, but here's a smart idea for vdc season 3. Get a 2nd I guess you would call co-owner. Someone who is on a lot, is always on gtp and doesn't just randomly disappear cough *jimmy* cough.

What the manager person would do is try and keep everything roll call and see who's here and who's not. Also who would send private messages saying why they didn't show up.

Zed.. I am here I just have tinternet problems now and then due to the goddam weather problems here.. they insist in having a mains box in my town that ocassionally goes nuts and shuts the internet down when its epicly windy.. total fail on the government and BT's behalf.. I'm on GTP nearly 95% of the time im not at work.. or atleast have it on. I always have the app open on my phone..

I agree, you shouldn't do this alone just look at D1GP or Formula D for that matter they have many people help organize it into a well worked engine.
So, in my opinion I'd say get atleast 3 people

1-the owner (spank) the guy who basically checks tracks, dates, judges, etc.
2- co-owner (???) someone who will send out messages to people making sure they know when and what time (if they havn't checked the OP) to be safe and make sure that the judges show.
3-3rd in charge(????) the one who if there are any flaws he will point them out and fix them.

So, in my best opinion Don't close it Spank keep it running, cause honestly this is the most organised event ive been in with the top drifters on GTP and I don't want to see it go away due to "dumb accusations."
 
zeds idea sounds good, make him the co-owner and let somebody else be in charge. Who was always in charge and helped judging? ;D
 
@spank plz dont end VDC its definitely the best drift comp on GT5. also i will help anyway i can but i dont wanna judge.Im on GT5 at least 12hrs a day a bit sad i know lol.im here if u need me PLZ DONT END VDC
 
Okay well I will keep it going but there are going to be many changes to the way this is ran. Making some updates and changes to the OP today.
 
Updates:

- I NEED 3 judges to help with final round of VDC, these judges will be counted on. They must be prepared and ready. Must show up, and must have a good signal so you wont lagg out.

- Since its almost Christmas I am in the spirit! I will be giving away these prizes to the following:

I'm up for being a judge. Not at home at the qualifying sessions but at main event I will. That's more important I guess.

Spank, you don't have to give out prizes. We love VDC without prizes. If you don't want to I'm sure we won't care, but if you wish.

Lol steve have you ever seen other events?.. The GTP Head2Head tournament took like MONTHS to get a winner ( sai ) LOL. People never joined at appointments and part two was so bad that it got cancelled. You can also see billion other events which never did well or even didnt start. Even if frag me cg would win, he could get 1st overall or get a " podium price " because everyone else already scored very good. No offence though, Its not nice to loose by a mistake, but ( most ) people learn of it 👍.
 
you can rely on me doing my most to judge. i have uber holidays over the christmas period.
 
Yes, uou have to wait for season 3 registration to open up. Not sure when thats going to be, but there will be a new thread for it.
 
I think I'm done for VDC. I only made the 1st round of qualifying & that was it, & it's already the fourth round. I don't want to participate in anything I'm going to miss, though this was my first "semi-major(?)" comp I've been in on GT5. Depending on how my time is for next season, I'll join VDC Season 3.

Indeed it is. I'm on GT5 alot, but I'm always doing something on the weekends, especially these past weeks & it just keeps adding up. I'll be back though!
 
You should still try for fun. I always try my best to qualify and always do but time always seems to get me :L. If I went to the main events, I might be close to top 10, who knows ;).

You made top 16 this last time, but you never showed. So we had to start without you and your opponent moved on.

Yea,wish I could have thou, my timezone makes it difficult because the event starts late for me and we are a hour ahead of America(Daylight Savings) making it start even later.
 
Man we already did this section in Season 1 :/
I was hoping for something new and in the "Slow & Tight" theme ...
