nitrorocksWhy do you wait for James? He didn't even show up to the Pre-season race.
Yeah. I don't know.
I had this problem when I overwrote the Viper's settings in the RSCS not too long ago. Made me want to stop using it, but I've got new settings now that I'm sort of happy with. The only reason I want to drive the Integra now, is because I messed up the tune on the CR-Z (I changed one setting, but, can't remember what it is) and made the Integra tune really nice. I mean, the Integra's not the fastest on the straight, but, as I said, the Hondas look nice, and the Integra doesn't understeer. It makes it a fun car to drive. I think, though, that we could try to let the MX-5 pick up some speed, SOMEHOW, or replace it. It's WAY too slow.
Did you try a little bit lighter weight setting for the Mazda? 920kg might speed it up a little bit to let it keep up, but not make it too fast. If it can have an advantage on tight tracks but be slow on straights I think it will be good. So opposite with the Civic/Golf, fast on straights, kinda slow on tight tracks. With the CR-Z/Integra in between.
You gave me something to worry about in the Grand Valley East race before I left for bed.
It has to be said though, that the Roadster TC reminds me a lot of how a Mazda Furai in the Le Mans 24hr race would be. Race pace can be matched (at least) through corners and in slipstream, but take it out of both environments and it doesn't match.
I think the Mazda is a good RACE car, so long as it has a reliable driver (not prone to mistakes), and can keep within the slipstream distance of higher top speed cars. It would score good points consistently, maybe even grab a win if it can get ahead somehow, but chances are....
