How long should race distances be?

Yeah, 60 kgs is too much to take off... I'm too afraid to even think of what would happen to the FF cars, if there were 940 kg FRs running around. I mean, we get understeer; that's normal. But, the FRs will still be faster through the corners, with the 50 kgs.
 
It only has 5 gears. It's acceleration takes a big hit because of that. Plus the 281hp is it's peak. The torque is very low. Even with the Supercharger instead of the Stage 3 turbo it makes little difference because the hp drops but the torque increases. So maybe the acceleration gets a bit better, but top speed goes down. With 281hp tops compared to 295hp for the CRZ and 300hp for the other TC's, it's not going to make that much of a difference with 940kg. Trust me. I was tuning earlier and spent lots of time with it. At Nurb GP/D it was over 2 seconds slower until I dropped the weight. At Fuji it was 3 seconds slower until I dropped the weight. Try it out, you'll be surprised.

I'm running the CR-Z, but, I'm also trusting nitrorocks with this one. I know, obviously, he wants a competitive series. And, if you don't have vested interests (are you running the MX-5, yourself?) I'd consider trusting you with it. But, how do I know you're not trying to get a slight advantage? Like, I'm not saying you ARE, but, I wanna get some real practice in. I can't afford professional motorsports yet, since I'm attending college soon, but, I'd like to keep my skills sharp.

Nitro and I are the one's that have made the regs what they are. Also, I'm running in GT, so I have no interest in giving the Miata an advantage. I'm trying to make it equal with the other TC's. I was even thinking of adding the Lotus Elise 96 RM, but it's max weight is 845kg, and to equal it out with the other TC's it'd be running 240hp because it's mid engine layout and low weight make it really killer on twisty tracks.

I didn't know that you and Nitro were working together on it. Please excuse my heckling. This clarification helps me understand. I guess you'll take it up with Nitro soon either way.
 
Do you mean the TC versions of the MX5 and CR-Z as they can not be racing modified. in this case in the TC car class are all the cars listed as "RM" the DLC TC cars?
 
Noticed my name isn't on the entry list on this forum so thought I'd let you know I'm still interested.
Always busy with the other forum so don't get a chance to post here on a regular basis. I hope to join in with any practice sessions when I can.

Yeah, The Mazda Roadster TC needs to be 940kg. If it proves too fast we can always add more ballast to it. It's strong point is it's low weight though. 1000kg for the other TC's with close to 20hp more than it makes up for the lower weight of the Mazda.
 
Well, it looks like we have room for only one more entry. If we don't get one, we will have a pace car or a steward.
 
We should update the entry list so we know where we stand. It's hard to keep track of everyone since not many have done the copy/paste routine.

The first points race will be May 19th. The preseason race should be next weekend. If not, it will be early May.
