The Castrol car above wasn't the starting car on which I was building the livery. I used a bit more liberty in creating a similar one what was the base of the livery above. By using a ground paint which had to come through it was more difficult to create. I think it has now a subtle golden line which emphasizes the liquid Castrol Edge. But still, I'm not sure which of these cars I will use in the photocompetition 14. (Please to mention which you like more otherwise I would be disqualified)

I would say gold version. Although there are already 3 golden based cars in the competition, it shows more skills without denaturing the livery.

Edit : never mind, you’ve already picked that one ;)

Yes, I did you are absolutely right that this takes more time-skill. But to be completely honest the first one whole white is the same car except I changed the base color to white. But you don´t see it in the pictures.

Unfortunately, I forgot to passed the extra Basf sticker on the front of the Gold version. I think that would look nicer. Maybe I should change this later...

I sometimes have the opposite issue : making two liveries which look almost identical but finally building them with very different ways.

Working on the photo competition 15 "the nations cup". Stil not sure which front I will use. May I go for the Delfts blue tiles on the front of the car

Maybe I made the wrong call if sending in the previous car at the Livery competition. But this one I made after the deadline so it couldn't compete. This livery is based on our national Aviation company KLM. I used a special livery of their plane as base for this car.

The them of the 17th livery competition was to create your own logo's as main sponsor on your car. I came up with making a tribute to my Grandfather who race in in the past with Alfa Romeo's. I thought this competition would be appropriate to do this.

My grandfather last name was De Sonnaville and was a doctor and a car enthusiast. Fueling me the passion of cars at an early age. I got all his car magazines and giving ‘lectures’ about new technology in cars. He drove Rally's in the past with Alfa Romeo Guila GTA and 1600 GT I thought I would use a classic Alfa Romeo, with a classic type of livery.

In our family heritage we have some outstanding Agricultural geniuses which were able to create a new type of Apple which was called Karmijn de Sonnaville. I used the family name and combine it with our family heritage of creating this Apple. I tried to blend this together in a logo and create a car around it.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to use a FIA Historic Hill Climb Championship logo (which I saw and for which I created a .svg for GTS).

At this moment I'm working on the 18th livery competition with a theme which is not really my thing. Or I have never made them so I'm just giving a shot and hope that it will work out fine.

Curious what you think.

I don’t know if they are from an anime or not, but it is very clever to use them as inverted decals with flakes base paint for the outfits ! And the « waves » are well done too. Keep going !

The final update for the GTplanet livery competition 18. I tried some new techniques and this is what the result is!

I used as a base a color changing paint, with glitters. with specially created decals with see trough I was able to make different glitter colors on the cars. Which in my opinion looks really awesome when you are driving around the circuit. Hope you enjoy this livery!!

Thanx for the YouInTheBox for the back decal!!

A new brilliant theme at the GTPlanet.net livery challenge. This time asymmetric designs. So I thought of updating an older design to these new specs

In the new competition 22 the theme is Hot Hatch. In this competition, I got inspired by @Strax livery of his Renault Williams. Which lead me to make an Alpine version of the Clio. I have made two versions. Hope you like it. My main goal was to keep it simple and tidy and would I drive it on the road.

first I start with the Hooligan version and then the more subtle version. (click on the front facing version for the direct link to the car)
