I noticed someone said that "900s arent particulary fast and could maybe destroy a Miata". Whoever said that is yet another person who underestimates the performance. (That is if your talking about the ng900s)

If your talking about the classic 900s then I dunno. Im not sure of the specs on them.

EDIT: Nevermind, I read all the posts below :]

Don't worry. We all know you're car is fast. ;)
That's why I'm trying to upgrade! :sly:

EDIT:

Any other tips for me Safe Speed since you drive the car everyday? :)

$9000?! Mad prices. It's worth nine if it's well-maintained but I'd pay $7 for most of them. Don't bother with an R like mine - it's only 18 more horses and another inch on the alloys. The Turbo is where it's at. Don't bother with a 97, unless it's a 97 GLT, and otherwise, don't bother with a GLT. The best non-R models are, in order:

1. 96 Turbo
2. 95 Turbo
3. 97 GLT
4. 94 Turbo

If you find a good deal on an R (96-97) or T5-R (95) you could take it. Most T5-Rs will be yellow, most Rs will be black or white. Most turbos will be wagons. Wagons are fun because they smoke everything and they're a wagon, but they rattle. Standard wheels in 94 were fifteens (vs. sixteens in everything else and seventeens in R/T5-R models). Side airbags came out standard in 95 turbos and are standard on all turbo models (including 97 GLTs) except 94 turbos, which shouldn't list for much more than $4000.

I'd search every 850 category, GLT included. T5 was only made in 1997 though as you say some are mislisted. T5 is merely the 1997 name for the 850 Turbo, sold from 1994 to 1996. There is no other difference except the badge. Remember:

YV1LS57 = Turbo sedan (94-96) or T5 sedan (97)
YV1LS56 = GLT turbo sedan (97)

You probably don't want anything else, but

YV1LS55 = GLT sedan (93-97, non-turbo, ****)
YV1LS58 = T5-R sedan (95) or R sedan (96-97)

Wagons are YV1LW5x

The top one, '97 LS57 77k for $8000 is an unbeatable deal. That's a $9500-$11000 car at least. Next one, '97 LS57 117k for $6900 is a pretty good deal too, though you should be able to get a '96 with that mileage for under $6. '94 LS57 122k for $4000 is an average price, but I'd shy away from '94s because they lack side airbags (and why get one without it when you can get one with it). The other two are LW57s - wagons - though those kind of rock and the top one, '97 LW57 67k for $8000 is a damn good deal (the other one is probably the only bad deal on the page).

Thank you, Doug!!! :) :cheers:
