VRR Corvette Challenge Supplemental Regulations
1.1. All drivers competing in the series must inform the series director of those intentions, detailing the car number they wish to use, team they are driving for, and a primary sponsor that is not already taken.
1.1.1. Car number 1 is reserved for the reigning series champion. Car numbers 2-999 are open to everyone.
1.1.2. Car numbers cannot have a 0 preceding them. Numbers 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09 are prohibited.
1.1.3. Every driver must be a part of a team in some capacity to be allowed to participate.
1.1.4. Teams are restricted to two drivers per race. Teams can have a rotation of drivers if found necessary.
1.2. Teams competing in the VRR TAG Heuer Endurance Championship must use the same team name in this championship.
1.2.1. Teams new to VRR must use names that are friendly with GTPlanet's Acceptable Use Policy, and must not be an existing real life team name.
2.1. Liveries featuring sponsorship from tobacco companies, or pornographic materials will be prohibited. Violations against this rule will result in an automatic suspension.
2.2. Liveries promoting a political stance or agenda will be prohibited. VRR remains a political neutral ground, and will remain open to everyone as such. Violators will be given one warning to refrain from using political advertising. Those that ignore the warning will receive a suspension.
2.3. All cars must use the second number panel option on their cars.
2.4. All drivers are limited to a single livery for the season. Exceptions may be granted for tribute or memorial purposes only.
3.1. VRR is a clean racing environment. Rough, but fair competition is expected. Accidents will be reviewed after each race and post race penalties may be assessed.
3.2. Drivers must be aware of their surroundings at all times in a multiclass environment. Drivers in the faster class will be expected to drive cleaner and use patience with their overtakes.
3.3. Drivers attempting to lap cars will need to use flashing lights as well as patience in passing.
3.4. Drivers being lapped do not have to pull off of the racing line, but must maintain a constant line until after they have been cleared by the passing car.
3.5. Drivers that have been lapped cannot fight to regain that lap unless they are engaged in a battle for direct position on track.
3.6. The racing surface is determined to be the asphalt/concrete which contains the racing line. Curbstones, rumble strips, sausage curbing, and astroturf do not count as part of the racing surface.
3.7. Pit entry and exit lines are to be respected at all times. Drivers that are found to cross the solid lines entering or exiting pit lane will receive a 10 second post race time penalty.
3.8. Passing under yellow flag conditions is prohibited. Drivers that pass under a local yellow and do not give the position back will be penalized.
3.9. Ragequitting races are seen as a sign of disrespect for the series organizers, the other competitors, and the spirit of racing. Leaving races in such a fashion will be met with consequences.
3.10. Drivers vying to defend a position on track are allowed one defensive move as a proactive measure. Making a defensive move as a reactive measure will earn a warning/penalty. This includes weaving back and forth across the racing surface.
4.1. Events and issues that happen during the race can be met with post race time penalties.
4.1.1. Crossing the pit entry line will result in a 10 second post race time penalty.
4.1.2. Repeated corner cutting will result in a 10 second post race time penalty, irregardless of if an on track penalty was given.
4.1.3. Crossing the pit exit line will result in a 15 second post race time penalty.
4.1.4. Jumping the race start will result in a 20 second post race time penalty
4.1.5. Passing unstricken cars under waved yellow flags will result in a 20 second post race time penalty
4.1.6. Causing an avoidable collision will result in a 30 second post race time penalty.
4.1.7. Rejoining the racing surface dangerously will result in a 15 second time penalty.
4.1.8. Dangerously serving a penalty earned during the event will result in a 20 second post race time penalty.
4.1.9. Hitting another driver under Safety Car conditions will result in a 15 second penalty.
4.2. Other penalties awarded for off track issues will not result in a time penalty, but may be seen as more serious.
4.2.1. For the first offense of leaving a race session prematurely, a reprimand will be given to the driver in question.
4.2.2. For the second offense of leaving a race session prematurely, a one race suspension will be awarded.
4.2.3. For the third offense of leaving a race session prematurely, a two race suspension will be awarded.
4.2.4. For the fourth offense of leaving a race session prematurely, a four race suspension will be awarded.
4.2.4.1. Race suspensions apply only to the series the offense occurs.
4.2.4.2. Appeals can be made with sound reason as to why the voluntary forfeit occured.
4.2.5. Causing a deliberate collision with another car for any reason and with any end result will result in an automatic one race suspension.
4.2.5.1. The length of the suspension is left to the race steward to finalize on a per case basis.
4.2.6. Insulting a driver through prejudice or unfounded malice will result in a one race suspension once evidence is brought forward. An appeal will not be granted.
5.1. Race lobbies will be opened at 8:00 p.m. Eastern U.S. time, with qualifying for race one beginning once all registered competitors are on track, or at 8:10 p.m. Eastern U.S. time, whichever comes first.
5.2. Qualifying will be timed to 15 minutes. Drivers may not leave pit lane until after the timer has been started by the race official. Once the time has elapsed, all drivers will be permitted to finish their current lap and park at the designated parc ferme location, usually after turn 1. Once all qualifying times have been recorded, the race will begin.
5.3. Race starts will be grid starts, with the field going green at the moment lights go out.
6.1. Safety car periods will be brought out for instances like mass disconnects and crashes that meet a certain criteria.
6.1.1. The criteria for crashes that bring out safety car periods are crashes in which three or more cars suffer engine damage. All drivers that receive engine damage must type the letters "EF" for Engine Fault. Upon which, the safety car driver will type either "SCD" or "Safety Car deployed".
6.1.2. In the case of a mass disconnection, the Safety Car driver, or the race leader, will type "SCD MD" and lead the field to a red flag stop on the pit straight. The race leader or Safety Car driver will record the order of the drivers remaining and then everyone will exit the race and wait for the disconnected drivers to return. Once the drivers have returned, the race will restart with with less time based on how much time was remaining when the mass disconnect occured. A manual formation lap will allow everyone to get into their proper grid positions, and then racing will resume.
6.2. Under a Safety Car period, all drivers must be single file, with two car lengths minimum between each car for most of the period. Once the field enters the last sector of the track, drivers may bunch up closer to allow for a decent restart.

I’m just a little confused. Will there be a Q session for the second race in double header events? Is it right after the first race is completed?

Race 2 grid is determined by reverse finishing order of race 1.

Should get a year-long subscription soon, so count me in.

Bumping the thread a bit to announce that the regulations for the car has been adjusted and that there will be a test event this Saturday night to run through the event procedure.

Noob questions:
is "team" just me and a friend giving ourselves a name?
And sponsor: anyone I want or is there a set list to choose from?

My apologies, I played a lot of GT6 but never online and now pretty serious about GTS. Thx

Team is a team name that isn't an actual real life team. You can run as a single car team or with a teammate. Sponsor is up to you as long as it isn't already taken by a different team.

Think I'll go ahead and join this one too.

11 taken by the same person here as it is in Enduro.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to the test session tonight. Will there be another opportunity to run through the procedures before the 1st race? Or does reading the regulations suffice?

Reading through them would work, but I'll be going over the procedures again in the pre-race meeting next weekend as well.

Time for the test session? And do we need to add you on PSN so we can find you?
Lobby opens at 8:00 p.m. Eastern U.S. time. You will need to add me on PSN since it'll be friends only. BRRT_Angel is my gamertag.
