You are going to need a seriously quick car to beat the Escudo. If you have the Toyota GT1 Race Car or the Zonda Race Car fully modified you should be able to beat him. Go for a track like Trial Mountain or Deep Forest where there's lots of rocks and very unforgiving corners without many straights.

You will need to have maximum down force and the gearing setup to do about 320kph/200mph.

Go kick his Escudo cheating A$$!! :D
 
do what you can to get an f1 car. (speedway endurance gives you a great one) Play a course like Trial mountain, or SS-11. He'll spend more time in the corners than you would believe. The other option is to take out your memory card and make him use an arcade car.
 
I've got to agree with brian. Go for the F1 cars, and racing him on certain tracks wouldn't hurt. Go for tracks than have turns without the barriers, such as Laguna Seca and Grand valley. Leave your friend spinning tires.

You say his car is stock, well thats good because the cars list above should do fine. I hope you have one in your garage because you will neeed some money to modify it. Hell I could probably beat him with tricked out Skyline.
 
hmm, get a CLK Touring car and tune it like the escudo except leave the vcs asm alone or GET A GAMESHARK, and whoop his but unfair and square.
 
also, ss route 11, the escudo cant do crap on that course cept for the front straight, i've raced the escudo on that track and my best lap time was 1'45.291 my best in my f/094 is a 1'28.520 so ss route 11 is a great track to whoop him on
 
Race the Seattle Enduro, it takes about an hour. It's where I got my first F1 and I was lucky enough to get it on the first try.
 
go to the complex string and just be a lil careful and use something like a c-west silvia or a mugen nsx..kil that sucker..but dont drive ****ty like him now!! :D
 
guys, remember that 2 player makes your car stock anyways, so it doesnt matter if either one tunes their ride or not, he is gonna need a car thats great stock, id say the f090 would murder the Scudo, but their are plenty of other cars that can beat him on the right course. the scudo isnt as good as everyone thinks... (most people think at least)
 
the escudo sucks, it handles like crap but they only tracks u can really race it on r super speedway and test course thats it, those r the only tracks i use it 4 and i win by a huge margin everytime

T'would be your opinion yes? IMO the Escudo is a rocket and untaimed beast that needs to be driven with respect for the throttle. You would be amazed at how many corners you could make if your not driving over 200 MPH.

What's really fun with the Escudo (which also helps with driving it) is setting it up loose so you can rally on the street tracks. Now that's fun!!! :thumbsup:

Try it, you might like it.

You don't need to hace the S-license to get an F-1 car. They are accesible throughout the endurance races, and some race series. Race the Super Speedway endurance until you get the F/090 S. If you can turn decently, you should be able to win.
 
in fact, you dont have to turn at all with the right rocket car

No..it does not make your car stock if you use the one from your garage..but just gives the stock HP figures..which it really isnt....its still your souped up car :)

guys, as i read down the sheet i see, "the escudo sucks","get a f1 car." Now lets be realistic here. I do see your guys's point it does matter on the track but the escudo boosted all the way would beat most f1 cars boosted all the way. Now i am not saying the escudo is good but i am not saying its bad, just don't under estimate it. after you learn and get use to cornering with it it will out run anyone!! :cool:
 
If I were you I would get a decent rally car. (I recommend the Corolla) - and then beat the $#!t out of him on Tahiti maze. - I did it to one of my friends and boy you should have seen his face:D HA!
 
To quote John McClane from Die Hard "Bad idea, bad idea." The Escudo is actually a rally car, so it wouldn't be smart to try to beat it at its own game...
 
I'm sure you didn't read my entire message, - but i said that i BEAT one of my friends on Tahiti Maze...I KNOW that the Escudo is a rally car, DUH!!
