Well this is the launch of the GT3 Honda VTEC owners club.

A club dedicated to the high reving rip snorting VTEC power plant.

The idea is to organise sprints (standing start to split 1 or 2), races, track days and trips to the strip for those that like all things Honda.

This thread can be used to talk about anything VTEC..........

So if you fancy a bit of high reving action sign up today.

A bit of both

So to get things kicked off whats your fav Honda??

I'm currently tooling around in a lightly tweaked Mugen S2000 (268 bhp)......just can't resist a car with a carbon fibre bonnet ;)

:banghead: Is how i felt for a while trying to beat the Professional League FF in my Fully Modded 3.2 CL then realized that the Citroen Xsara RC is actually FF, I don't drive it much ,AT ALL. Right now I'm toying with my full modded Spoon CTR HB :D. IRL i would like to have one of the K-Series CTR's but we don't have them in America:( I would Still like to see a return of the CRX!

xAkirax2004:
You realize you couldn't possibly have a VTEC engine in an '86 Integra without pulling off a massive swap? You wouldn't just have to swap the engine, you'd have to swap almost everything except the paint. Putting a VTEC engine in an '86 Integra would be twice as expensive as just buying a newer Integra with a better engine.

The very first VTEC engine was in the 1990 Integra and Civic SiR in Japan only. VTEC engines were very rare until 1992.

IRL for me it would have to be the new NSX type R (with the bubble headlights) :)

The handling is supposed to be sublime and it recently won EVO magazines car of the year award.

Mugen Tech tips for tuning your S2000

http://www.kingmotorsports.com/mugen_tech_s2000.asp

Contains an interesting section at the bottom of the page about how to set up your S2000 for track use. This may or may not be applicable to GT3 I've tried it out and it works for me ;)

I love my Honda Integra Type-R 98 Spec to DEATH. 487HP, 13.086 q/t time, 214.3MPH top speed, true monster... I wish I had that in real life. My favorite car IRL would have to be a Mugen RSX.... mugen power v-tech baby...

so since this is honda heaven i think i will ask a lil ?...

does anyone know of a 4wd prelude... i have neard that it exists... yet when i search i just get crap... so i would appreciate any help... model year is all i need...

The only 4WD honda's that are still around are the Honda Civic (Begals) and the CRV's..I'm sure there might be a couple out there that are custom job's, but no others production wise. As far as the picture of the EP civic Type R. Bad bad car, Honda's decision to go with the EP chassis was a big prob, not to mention I-vtec is one of honda's worste innovations yet. It's a shame, honda's rep is dropping at a fast pace.

V-tec man Variable valve timing and electronic lift control.......And that Mugen Integra has I-vtec not V-tec....Mugen is still great though.

There has never been 4wd on a prelude but they did have the 4wd steering ... maybe it was that you heard?

greets,

Steve

bengee about the 4wd lude well never seen one yet but my cuz have a 4wd crx si he says it runs on accord wagons drivetrain or axle i think but damn!! it runs like a squirrel on crack..and it does 13's on 1/4 track. well hope this tell you some stuff lol:)

Lol. AWD CRX Si on an Accord Wagon Drivetrain? Does the CRX have a completly different chassis from the original? BTW when was there an AWD Accord? I've never heard of an AWD Accord. And what engine is in that "AWD CRX Si"

I've never heard of a 4wd prelude but as quattro says they did make one with 4 wheel steering. The prelude was my favorite FF car in GT2 and I very nearly ended up buying a 2.2 Vtec powered one last year....sort of wish i'd gone for it now instead of my very limited edition (795) Rover 200 BRM but i'm a sucker for a red leather interior......

I've seen an AWD Geo Storm (read the latest issue of SCC)
Anything is possible nowadays. One mod my cousin's shop has planned is an AWD RSX. Nothing too complex, just involves a lot of weld work and driveshaft modification... Powerplant will be the next thing to be touched...

Is this avaliable in silver in GT3....it looks the nuts :D
