hehe, i thought you'd go for that idea miata
Heres my first entrant into the Outlaw class. My Spoon modified Del Sol. It comes equipped w/ a spoon civic engine, transmission, and suspension; s2000 T8 tires and s2000 LM race car brakes; integra type r 98 spec stage 3 turbo and increased displacement a la civic type r, MR2 racing intercooler, and ZZ-s chassis and ZZ-s MR drivetrain configuration. I know those arnt HONDA parts necesarily, but honda doesnt have any intercoolers in this game and really, an intercooler is an intercooler. And im sure you could convert a del sol to an MR configuration in real life if you really wanted to, its basically set up for it already. The zz-s chassis fits perfectly w/ the del-sol and ends up about 300kg lighter than the normal del sol chassis

All the rest of the options, brake controller, racing muffler, engine balance, port and polish, chip, racing flywheel and stage 3 clutch, weight reduction, were all just normal del sol buys. What I end up with is a 557hp monster w/ a P/W ratio of 1.070 cuz it only weighs 596kg

Does an 11.0 in the 400m the way i have it set up right now, i should be able to make it break into the 10's if i tuned it more for drag racing. I took her out on apricot..woooweee!! This thing is almost as skiddish as an elise due to its high power and light weight. you really gotta watch it around turns and especially on the rumble strips. And this mother has got some serious top end too! I just about hit 190 on the main straight

After about 5 laps i finally got a clean lap of 1'17.341...hehehe. this thing almost rivals my type-v! not quite tho. im SURE i could break into the 1'16's w/ some more laps and perhaps some tweaking of the settings. I gotta say im actually pretty proud of this car, this is one del sol i wouldnt mind driving! Miata, if you want i can post up the .ini file for this car and you can try her out if you want. Thats all for tonight. Hybriding is a long process..haha. maybe i'll go take a few laps in my hybrid s2000 i was talkin about earlier
*EDIT* Ran some laps in my hybrid Mugen S2000. Tho i cant really enter this one into the competition because last time i checked, a 7.0L V8 Shelby Cobra engine wasnt part of Honda's VTEC lineup. hehe. This cars pretty simple, its got the cobra engine as mentioned, as well as all other cobra engine add ons, plus its got F1 brakes, Viper T8 tires, the Sample001 suspension, and the S2000LM chassis. I also altered the grip and downforce of this one. What i end up w/ is a 767Hp beast that handles better than an NSX. hehe After a few laps w/ this one i managed a clean 1'08.995

Shes one of my favorite hybrids.
*EDIT AGAIN* Well I just couldnt sleep until I saw a 1'16.XXX out of my del sol, so after giving some time to this weeks official gtp race and bettering that time, i hopped back in the del sol and headed for Apricot, and im glad i did too, because this car has far surpassed my expectations...after a few more laps i ran an AWESOME lap and ended up w/ a 1'16.018

This car takes some real finesse to drive, but if youre nice to it, its VERY nice to you. This could actually make a good drifter too. And i noticed somthing too, even tho I used a spoon engine, its still breaking in, and now ive got 559HP, so this things sure to get faster, and i think i might even see a sub 1.0 p/w after this things all broken in

Phew...alright, i can go to bed now.
