VW Bug tail light mess up

I noticed in GT3 that on the back of the VW bug on the bottom part of the bumper there are 2 lights, one is red and the other is white. What is up with this, the RSI edition of the bug has that too. I checked a bug in real life and both are white.

maybe it a Japanese. thing... if u look at the R33, there is the same red light in the right taillight that doesn't look like it should be there..

what do you mean that the car model they used was a japanese version of the bug? The bug is from Europe and America only I don't think any have been made in Japan.

It's not necessarily a "bug".. Lots of cars (built) here in europe has just one fog light and one for reversing.. Our Saxo has the same special effect...

While i was out on my daily viewings, i was behind a beetle and saw that it had a reverse light left and fog light right, then i decided to teach that mofo a lesson and overtook him. RS engine is running dope. hitting 67mph in second. BOOOOM!

Maybe... It was just the concept of the beetle?

I know for definite in the UK that beetles have reverse light on left and foggy on right.

Maybe in other countries they have two clear lights but one may have red halogen bulb?

It's a reverse light on one side and fog light on the other. Same on other cars.

I live in North America, and when I see a Beetle, they have one red light and one white light in the back just like in GT3. It's not a bug, that's how they are.

ya some lamborghini's are like that too,i believe the red one is on at night while the clear one is the reverse bulb a lot of other vehicles have this, like the elise, speedster and a lot others.

I think the bettle is sposed to be like that Im not sure I havnt seen one for a while

i believe that in other countries the tail lights are 2 different colors but just today day i looked directly at a parked bug and both the lights were the same color. They are both either red or white i forget but not one just white and one just red i think in the us thats how they are i am going to try and find a pic.

They are definitely different colours in the uk. The one on the left is white, on the right is red (I checked the one at the end of my street)

after reading this tread and the thousand other threads that state the gt3 is flawed and poly have stuffed up I have decided that poly should rename all the cars in gt4 to made up names to protect the innocent (them) from the anal rantings of others who couldnt make a game like this if they tried....

its a game.... get a life!
hehehe :p

American rules require a reversing light with a certain brightness. This is accomplished with two slightly dimmer lights (10W) While in Europe one brighter light is accepable (15W). Rear fog lights are required in Europe but not in America.
