I think a cone acts better as a ball than a kart does. Also, not sure if we'll be able to race with karts among other type of vehicles.

when gt5 arrives, im planning whenever family members or friends come to my flat they all have to post a time on the top gear test track in a reasonably priced car, the times will be put on my fridge freezer for bragging rights....should be a good laugh.

Teams of 2 cars, 1 pushes the other around the track (oval). The car being pushed cannot break or accelerate. First one over the finish wins! You might need some other drivers as referees...


^ Looking forward to that! Hopefully in spectator mode you can either go into cockpit, or see the throttle like in replays. than it can certainly be possible.

An interesting variation of this could be a 5 lap race with R3 tyres, it will get messy

Well the Model T Ford takes 16'02.739 to lap the Nur' so it's safe to say it would be a different season by the time the Daimler Motor Carriage finished

How about an Ashes style race online between English cars and Australian cars. Obviously those in England have Jaguars and the Australians have Holdens. Perhaps make it a 20 or so lap race of Trial Mountain or something.

This would be very unlikely to be in GT5, but would be fun!! Anyone remember the super small tire wall oval in the license tests in GT1? It was done in a Subaru. 8 karts on that would be fun!

That Hemi rage was a good laugh too. It makes me wonder if the weight and size of a vehicle will be factored into damage. If that video was from GT5, would the smaller cars receive much more damage than the truck did, as you would expect?

THE FUEL SAVER CHALLENGE!!

Justr drive around in a Prius or CR-Z or any other hybrid and see how far you can get with a tank of gas. Pretty straightforward.

Why not run Top Gears version of a fuel efficiency race. Take some supercars, run flat out as hard as you can, with 1 gallon of fuel in the tank. Last one rolling wins!

How about the wheelie challenge? Take a car and see how long you can keep it on 2 wheels, the scores are judged by how long the front wheels are off the ground. My other idea is the SRC (Supercar Rally Championship), Dodge Vipers and Gallardos with be spinning out constantly.

Maybe a figure of 8 race on the TGTT? (as the driving lines cross) last one to get wrecked wins? To make this work we could have the cars set off like 10-20 seconds after each other so collisions at the crossovers is more likely

Why not recreate the TopGear fuel challenge where the gang went from France to Blackpool and Richard had that little BlueMotion Polo and Jeremy had a Jaguar XJ (you can choose your own car)

You could use the Nurburgring (or whatever, the massive track version) as the road and whoever made it to the end (or 2 laps or something) , or the furthest would win!

For added effect, you could have people waiting at the finish as to represent the crowd waiting for the gang to turn on the Blackpool lights.


Loving the Hemi Rage and the Star In a Reasonably Priced Car; using a leaderboard on the forums would be awesome! GT5 is no longer just a racing sim... It's mental! PD, I worship you!

EDIT: Just remembered about the track editor, so the challenge could/would be even more personalized and realistic! Score!

New idea: Catapult challenge

Pick 1 car for the catapult, and 1 car for the projectile (ammunition). Score is based on how far the projectile is thrown.
