Are all treasured in my book. Everything from an Audi RS 4 to a Volvo 240 GLT has me collecting them whenever possible.

It's not the performance I"m interested in, although the Nissan Stagea Autech has excellent performance with a GT-R engine, but rather the overall car design.

There's one car though I had wished PD would have included in the mix and that's the Renault Espace F1.

For those who didn't know, you were able to get this car (at a hefty price) in Gran Turismo 2. This minivan was the pinnacle of performance for it's class being powered by a formula one bred V10 engine delivering 800hp. 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 194mph.

Even though I"m most likely certain Polyphony Digital will never green light the return of the Espace F1 I would hope that they have intentions in the near future of including Gran Turismo 1 & 2 in the PS classics. At least then we can enjoy our "old loves" and relive the days of PS One.

Your thoughts on this?

I agree all earlier GT games have been awesome, but I stay away from those PsOne classics, they make my eyes bleed! :)

Lol. You'll find nostalgic legends in the PSOne Classics section. Games that helped me find peace regretting to finish. Games that I missed out when I was a broke teenager.

Yeah, I totally agree there's a bunch of classics! But they look so awful on a LCD TV that I'm thinking of buying some old fat crap TV just to play through Final Fantasy 7-9 & a bunch of other classics :)

The problem is when you upscale a PS game to fit your whole screen, it looks horrific for some since normally they are set in a resolution lower than 480p. There is an option called PS smoothing. Try turning that on as it may help emulate a less edgier game experience.

Yes, I've tried the options present on the PS3, I don't think it helps that much. Just can't beat that natural 'blur' the good old tv's had ;)

I miss the Renault Espace F1. . . Though I'd also like that XJ220 powered Ford Transit that Top Gear modded. Though I too have been on the hunt for SUVs, Vans and the like. Some are very entertaining.

That had nothing to do with Top Gear. As I understand it, it was used by TWR as a test bed for the XJ220 running gear so they could test it in traffic without getting too much attention. It runs up the hill at Goodwood Festival of Speed every year driven by Justin Law.

Correct. It was called the Super Van and there were a couple of incarnations. Had nothing to do with TopGear whatsoever!!
The Law family also owned a Jag XJR-9 or 12, which Justin ran a weekend-best time of, at GFOS a few years back. Can you imagine that, a car, worth millions, driven flat out on old rubber up a princely driveway!!!
UN-****ING-BELIEVEABLE!!!
I was there, and as a result, a connection if you will, it is now my fave Group C car and my default enduro racer!!
Back on topic, i'd love the Espace F1 in the game and for one, would like a bigger diversity of estates, station wagons, etc!! :):)

Bien Cien, if you haven't tried it yet, you may want to give the Toyota Caldina a go (and it looks better than the Odyssey :p ).

Perhaps the closest thing to the Espace F1 would be the Audi RS6(?) that can be nodded up to ~900hp! I believe it's premium, so it'll have better detail over that oddessy or Espace:D

It wouldn't beat it handling wise, but it has near-equal power 👍

Volvo Estate man!! With this car I can actually say; "I transport your beloved dead in style and speed!"

Go go Funeral Car XD

I love the wagons! I have a test track just for them, a lot of them are really close when driver at ten tenths.

I am most impressed with the Legnum VR4. It's not as quick as say, a Stagea in a straight line, but it absolutely blitzes the corners.

and if you're playing GT5, then you've already got a Playstation emulator as every PS3 has it built in.

Can the PS3 output at a higher (custom) resolution and add things like proper anti-aliasing? No.

Was visual quality what the guy was complaining about? Yes.

Try again, not missing the point this time.

PSOne games can look fine on an LCD through an emulator:

Ahh. Well thanks for the info. When they were talking they made it sound like they modded the van. Oops.
