from what i remember, test drive unlimited was open-world based and wasnt as arcadey as nfs...so i guess if u like test drive you would enjoy an open based gt? i think i would.

Becoming the next test drive unlimited?

Test Drive Unlimited with GT's physics model would be absolute car porn and fit exactly with what Kaz would want as a celebration of motoring. To be able to USE your car for the transport aspect, to get from A to B to various places, such as the car wash, gas station, events, auto clubs, garages... instantly the non-racing and non-sports cars would have a place in the game. This would be a HUGE plus to the world of GT.

Do it. But do it in GT6.

That's what I immediately thought of. TDU was an amazing game for it's time, but the physics were so-so at best, and I don't see TDU2's being revolutionary. I'll still buy the game day 1 and enjoy the hell out of it for sure, but if it had great physics, I'd be in heaven.

Just imagining the idea of a TDU-like experience with the physics from either GT or Forza has me all tingly. It would be especially mind-blowing with weather changes and even seasons.

I think both the GT and Forza series have hit proverbial walls and haven't done all that much new for a while now. Expanding to a massively open online racer in addition to the other features they both have would help push the boundaries further and advance both series.

Seems to me like he had a sky's the limit idea for this game... until Sony stepped in and told him to STFU and release it before Christmas finished or not. :scared:
